I will try all of those! Thanks. Is this cuz of the latest patch? Cuz it seems to me it's very laggy. I thought it's cuz of my old ass PC but a few months back there were no issues like these. Maybe just when starting the game itself.

And no it has nothing to do with my actual disk space, i actually had it clean with large space avaible and Lagcraft while joining lobbies was still annoying...

Though, in general i think you need to just get clear most of the useless stuff in the folders that starcraft accesses when joining a lobby. My theory is starcraft looks for every file, if you already have the map and stuff, so if those folders are full it looks and looks. Until it decides that you have it or not, one of the reasons for the lagg may well be that your computer is looking through these folders, once i got rid of them i had a night and day difference, both gave me a massive boost. You would think it is only the download folder, but in my case it was not. I know back in the day for the color fix there was a file that we use which allowed to close explorer.exe while playing the game. That was a fix... ^_._^ I also had Cosmonarchy installed.. Almost forgot about it.

As you might imagine, when you're a developer at Blizzard tasked with touching the StarCraft codebase for the first time, this probably works pretty quickly: you don't have very many maps/replays. For someone that has played StarCraft for a decade plus and has tons of maps and replays, this works... a lot less quickly.

You can always copy the whole folder to somewhere else, and copy some map or, replay, or whatever back into the new folder created by the game. Even copy the whole folder back, if necessary. I mean even delete the new one that will be created by the game and put the old one back. It is radical, but in every aspect of life you need to do a clean up at some point.
