Thank you BoxeR for always showing such entertaining games and being there to help create the esports scene in Korea that lead to all the amazing games, tournaments and players that have given us a huge amount of entertainment over the last 2 decades. I hope you have an amazing birthday and best of luck in all you do over the following year. Hopefully we can get more opportunities to see you play some more Star 1 in the future!

Congratulations Boxer on your birthday and I hope you have many more! I take this opportunity to tell you that thanks to you I fulfilled my dream since I was a child of wanting to travel to South Korea to experience the Starcraft scene up close, I traveled in 2018 and saw the KSL live. Your biggest fan from Spain. A big hug!

Hi Boxer, when you used lockdown against Chusung's Battlecruisers in 2002, it blew my mind and I followed Starcraft ever since. Thanks for showing the world the beauty of this game, I hope you have a wonderful 44!

I am a foreign fan who would never have gone to Korea, found my favorite food and places in Korea, found my favorite game in life (SC:BW, Terran of course), lived the rush of playing in a Korean PC Bang, recognize SKT (🫡) & CJ & KT (😅) & countless more Korean companies any time I see their products, learned about the Mandatory Korean Military Service, or learned to appreciate King Sejong for creating the best and most logical alphabet (Hangeul) ... I would never have gained any of these things that are so valuable to me, if I had not first discovered the legend of Boxer. You will never see or know the full extent of how your presence and participation has caused so many good things to happen in the life of so many people to make them so much happier. So thank you for all you've done.

Unfortunately I only became aware of the pro scene when you were already a living legend. Thank you for sticking with the game even after your peak and through out the military (Airforce ACE!!) so people like me who heard of the legend that is Boxer could witness his brilliance live. It was amazing to see you defeat Flash on Python and later Hiya on Blue Storm. And shame on you for nuking Killer on Colosseum II when he was still a mere baby. Just kidding, it was awesome ^^

He was a mythological figure among my friends in school, in Norway. Everyone looked up to him. Shrouded in mystery, showing unprecedented creativity and skil in every game. He was more than just a player to us, more like a symbol of greatness.
Still get goosebumps just thinking about this.
Wins or losses, his play was always inspired and inspiring, like an artist.

BoxeR really makes it obvious how timing is important. Plays that would be impossible today were possible at the beginning of Starcraft. Never forget the Obs blind EMP Nuke or Rax landing in Zerg main. So much was fresh and still maybe the strongest candidate for greatest of all time.
