He watched Flash vs JD and thought the Terran was too bad to be Flash. Meanwhile JD watched the replay of that game and thought it was out-of-shape Flash. Both make sense tbh.
I would think that the hotkey-analysis should make it pretty clear. Unless he went and changed his setup in fundamental ways (but why would he do it now, after 15 years with some longer breaks?) one would expect to see the same patterns as in older replays. They should be pretty individual, at least in certain phases of a game or in certain aspects, and really hard to shake off in a game that's so dependent on good mechanics.
Old habits die hard. In addition to his hotkeys, during one of his matches with snow, anon terran said "잠시만요 (jamsiman-yo)," meaning "wait a minute," before pausing the game. This is what flash always does. I don't think many programmer says this, they mostly just say "PP" or "PPP" (Please Pause).
Another thing that flash tends to do in mid-late game TvZ is float his buildings to chokepoints to spot incoming troops/drops after switching from bio to mech. He even explains this in one of his guides, found on youtube. As the anon terran did the same in one of his game vs Shine the other day.
This whole anonymous Terran thing may help Flash make his comeback easier after the crypto scandal. It creates content for other pros (chasing the anonymous gosu stream) and attracts viewers, thus building up the hype. Everyone's talking about Flash and getting excited. Then bam! He comes out and makes an apologizing stream.

He didn't have to go to military camp like most of them. Civil service basically means you have a full time job, so you can still play whatever you want in free time. His return would be similar to someone like Rain a couple of seasons ago, who didn't play much BW during his break but still had access to it.
Speaking about Rain, he's raised his mmr to 2700 in no time and is playing "Flash" right now. 2-2 is the current score.
Yeah I think this is actual Flash. No unknown Terran players can go 50/50 with pretty much most of the top pros like this. The fact that he lost 0-5 to Snow is understandable as well, as Light can lose like that to Snow too.
Yeah lmfao, losing to one of the best PvT players who hasn't been on break, while you're fresh coming back. Don't care how good you are that is rough to overcome. Think about it like this when flash was on and playing he still could lose games to snow, so why wouldn't snow do better considering he is rusty.
Thanks for all the updates, I wish there was more BW content, so I'm glad you're posting all of this making it easier for foreign fans to find some games to watch. Miss the old days of OSL/MSL/Proleague going on 24/7.

rain's video on flash, has mostly negative comments also. same is for most korean comments on others' videos on flash.
What kind of negative comments? What are they negative about? I don't really see many on Rain's video. Maybe they are deleted? I don't understand, even if they don't like Flash why leave negative comments on other pros youtube?
P.S: lmao Best even said in his video it's 100% Flash At this point we can tell the others, or at least some, already know it's Flash, but just don't publicly announce it to build up the hype. Like. they surely must have a kakao talk group and asked him already lol.
I could imagine that people see Flash as a pariah and think he should be treated the same way savior was to some extent, i.e. do not engage, expose or interact, i.e. pros should not play him or upload the matches just to get clicks, to be doing so should have the consequence of falling in disgrace with the community. (my interpretation based on my understanding of how korean culture works)

2023 is saved. I'm really intrigued how far out of shape FlaSh can go next ASL. He dominated KeSPa era, end of post KeSPA/ASL era, can he do the same with post military era - dominate the scene for the 3rd time?
When he came back for ASL1 he got to ro8 and got shut down by AlphaGo Last, who considered the best terran at that time. But then in next season he came to win back to back 3X ASL. Will that be the same case?

Flash is, surprisingly, on the younger side of the player pool. There's only Snow, Mini, Soma and Royal who are younger than him, but the last two will go to military service next year.
The only one who can stop him in the next few years is Snow.
