If there was a separate ladder for the hackers we could finally quantify how much it matters. Like if a C rank player can beat a B when using hack. Ooh the possibilities. Probably simpler just to keep hackers out though.

Wouldn't it be smarter to fix those issues with the launcher? Or is it a internet cafe thing?

I'm all for allways required. Cause if we have the possibility to do something against hackers, we should go for it. It's bad enough that we have hackers on normal bnet.

have you ever thought about why did all private ladders gone? why wgtour hadn't start ? why pgtour hadn't rised from the dead? it is all about motivation. our motivation falls down as online users number is not growing. one day we compared an online user counter on iccup and brainclan server. it was 500 vs 50 000. 50 fucking tousand on a server with almost non-existent ladder. We talked with a lot of korean guys, admins and others. The answer was that a lot of koreans are lazy even for registering on webpage.. not even for running launcher!! That is why we enabled registration on the server and going to disable launcher mandatory. As for /ah command it will be pretty useless, cuz player with launcher will have colored nickname in the game lobby.

We provide you a ladder, you give us users. no users - no ladder, no ladder-no users. As simple as that. You asked anti-hack - we gave it. Did user online counter showed a bigger number? no.

-mac//*nix users will be able to play
-one-click-registration. Just run bw and start playing.
-antihack still exists and working. moreover you will get extra-pts for nothing.

-if you are not paranoid and will play agains person w/out antihack turned on, you eventually may be hacked. Anyway you will be able to make a complaint and hacker will get a ban for even a single suspicious move. Therefore, users without antihack won't be able to coomplaint about hackers.

I did read his entire post. If he provides a ladder, people will use it. If he provides a ladder, more people will come. It was just season 1, not everyone will crowd a random server just for the hell of it, they will wait and see other people's reviews on it.

If you were not there for PGT season 1/2, there were such a small amount of active people, and then look what it turned into in the end? D rank about 1500 would be ranked 20,000 Where season 1 or 2 it would be top 4,000

read what unk (iccup admin) said. its not technical issues, its that theyre lazy.

once again, its a good thing. more players, especially koreans, is good. if you're really worried about hack a simple command guarantees that you get your anti hack, im sure people will include it in their spam/game name anyway.

besides, its a LADDER, its sole purpose is practice (the antihack should be manditory for iccup tournaments and clanleague and whatnot). those who hack only hurt themselves, and if anything it will avoid cases like hung and oldy because any foreigner whos high ranked and refuses to play on antihack will be under immediate suspicion.

i voted optional, i feel that the popularity and longevity of a ladder is more important than how enforced its integrity is

i mean if non-hackers have the option of playing non-hackers there shouldn't be much of a problem there right?
