We are currently a SC2 Clan with wide range of players skill level. Most of us are native German speakers and e few english speaking people. We're hosting an in-clan tournament this Friday, so joining now gives you a good opportunity to get to meet most of the members, as well as have an enjoyable (hopefully) evening with us! We do require members to take part in the clan, one way or the other. You don't have to play tour heart out, but we do require that you have some interest in your clan mates and that we are able to communicate with you. We also require that you don't play for other clans. For instance, playing for one clan to join this league, or another clan to join the other. If you want to play in leagues, tell us and we'll join instead! Don't just run around being an individual, join the friendship! We also require loyalty, in the sense that you may not be part of other SC:R clans while you're in ReV. You should also take certain part in the clan, and not just "do your own thing". If you're higher skill, I'd expect that you play with ALL in the clan and not only the top players. No one is beneath you, even though it's understandable you'd rather spend most of the time laddering and practicing with others at the same level. You're not expected to spend your days teaching noobs, but we do expect that your clan mate is your clan mate. And for the lower levels, we may not expect to get to play with the higher levels all the time. It's not our right to have their time. The respect goes both ways. In conclusion, I don't care if you win or lose. As long as you "gg" and keep it up, I'm more than happy. If you're busy some weeks and such, then that's not a problem. However, if you're rarely on at all and barely feel like a part of the clan, you will not quite fit in. I also have high requirements for punctuality and reliability. If, for instance, you say you can play in the STPL and that you're free, just to suddenly not appear on game-day, then that will not simply slide (assuming there's no good reason). Nor if you plan a time and date with the opponents and don't show. Even if it's just a game, it's their time you're wasting. I don't expect everyone to be perfectly aligned with all our values and guidelines, as that's just wishful thinking. So personally I'd much rather you try it out before finally deciding, than simply assuming I don't want you - I think I may be a bit more including than it appears I hope to hear from any of you! | ||

Since we've gone through various stages while establishing the clan, we've made several changes along the way. As such, I figured I'd re-write our information to keep one updated post. This will not be as prone to changes, as we're quite sustainable as it is and don't need to change while building. Having all this said, here's the updated information: [Name]: Clan Revolution [Tag]: .ReV [Server]: Europe [Requirements]: We're very strict on manners. We require that you're active and take part in the clan. You may not be member of any other clan whilst being in ReV (with the only exception being CPL). We also require that you use Discord. [Website]: We've got a forum, which I'd rather not link to here in order to avoid bots. Additionally, we've got a proper site in the making. [General rank]: No skill requirement. However, we're ranging between something like 1100 and 2400 MMR. [Language]: English. [Etc]: We play in two clan leagues - BWCL and STPL. We focus on having our best available players play in the STPL, whereas in BWCL we want to let as many as possible play and get a feel of playing in clan wars. We also arrange friendly clan wars, tournaments, we have an in-clan ranking you can choose to join, show matches, cozy clan gaming nights and in general want to make things interesting for our members. We have a lot of resourceful members who're doing a splendid job in talking to one another, watch replays together and overall help each other improve. We don't mind you being a complete scrub, heck some of our members started playing Starcraft when Remastered came out. But we expect that you take part. It's always a bit difficult at first, getting into a new group, but we'll do our best to welcome you and make you feel at home. Overall, we wish to build. Build each other up, build the community and overall contribute to the game we love. It's completely fair to be frustrated and point out the errors of Remastered, but we won't accept overly resentful hatred. Anger can be useful for progress. Bitterness is nothing but poison. It's a difficult line to walk, but we try nonetheless. So instead, we send tickets and voice our opinions to Blizzard about all the things we find inadequate, while at the same time try to support whatever is happening in the community, as well as try to create events/take part ourselves. These are the types of players we're looking for (in random order): Category 1 - Complete noobs who've just started playing the game I firmly believe that we have a lot more new players in BW than many might think, but that the steep learning curve and the picky clans (not all) makes it more difficult to get integrated into the community. There is the CPL (which is absolutely fantastic), but I still don't think it's quite the same as being in a clan. Hence, I consider it a duty of most established clans to open their doors for at least some of the very new and/or crappy players. If you are extremely new. Heck, even if you struggle hard to even complete the campaign, then I hereby welcome you to ReV. We have several members who do a fantastic job in embracing noobs, giving advice, setting aside time to play and improve together. We also have a very wide range of skill, with everything from people with like 50 apm and only knows how to 9 pool a-move, to members who single-handedly have like 4 accounts qualify for the BSL Proleague. We do require a certain level of activity, and participation socially. We are rather lax, but I maintain that if you join a clan, then you should also take part in the clan. Lastly, we have a very low threshold for speaking your mind. Your skill does not give or take value from your opinion. All members are equal, all voices heard. As long as it is in accordance with the vision of ReV. Welcome to BW! Even though our members are not allowed to be in any other clan than ReV, all members are both allowed and encouraged to take part in the CPL. Category 2 - Tryhards for participation in STPL Aside from being happy-go-lucky Teletubbies, we have a fierce focus on competition in the STPL. For the last round of STPL, and for the seasons to come, we'll be establishing an even more dedicated "program". If you're not familiar with STPL, we are essentially sending in line ups a week before playday. The match is Best of 1. Substitutes are allowed, but only if they're playing the same race. Hence, you'll only have that one map to practice on, and against that one race. We'll be setting up our primary line ups which is announced the week before. But in addition to that, we'll also have our own substitutes set up to practice, in case one of our top players are unavailable for some unforseen reason. Whether you as a recruit ends up in our A-list or will mostly be set up as a substitute, depends on your skill. We always use our strongest players available, but if we're uncertain whether a player can attend on the playday (Sundays), we'll use the next-best players and then go down the list. Okay, so what does this mean for you? This means, if you're driven by competition and have the manners required by ReV, I'd love to have you join us for this reason. You'll have to practice a lot, but I'll also try to arrange it so that you'll have practice partners to practice a lot with. It's still early in its establishment, but there should be a lot of players to practice with already, and even more so as we continue to build around it. If you're set up as a substitute, you might end up having to practice for several matches you'll never even play, but do keep in mind all the practice you'll get. It's not in vain, as it's a safety net we'll need. We aren't the strongest team currently by far, but I firmly believe in building new talents, and that the hardest worker will prevail in the end. There is no tommorrow, if we can't make today's talents bloom. ReV's meadow may be a late bloomer, but I wish to handle all our players as best as I can in order to make ours the most impactful. - You should in general have your Sundays free, as that's the days you're the most needed. This is for handling clan wars. We are currently attending BWCL and STPL. NarsiL[ReV] handles BWCL, whereas I handle STPL. You'll be helping out to some extent, but primarily as a backup in case one of us can't attend the clan wars ourselves. This assignment will increase around December, as I'll resign as leader then (going to be a father), meaning we'll have one less person to manage the clan. - You'll have to be aware that you're one of the people who has to have answers. So you'll have to read up and understand the various clan leagues, map pools, times and dates, channels, etc. Many players are mostly focused on playing and don't pay too much attention to the details, which is where we come in. We are there to let the players keep as much focus on improvement as possible. - ReV has very strict guidelines regarding manner. To the extent that if a player who loses doesn't write "gg" at the end of their game in a clan war, they may receive warnings. You'll be held to this standard to a greater extent, as we as admins set the standard. There will always be mistakes, and there's room for them. But the general standard must remain. - You'll also be required to take part in planning the future of the clan, to get in touch with the clan members, and in general ensure the well-being of our members. I also cherish admins who can slap me in my face when I'm overrunning too greatly the needs of my clan members for the sake of my ideals of the clan. Sometimes it's necessary, sometimes I pick the wrong battles. I need admins to speak their minds and be direct. - Any abuse of power will be harshly punished. To lead is to serve. You take on a responsibility, not a privilege. We're primarily looking for one or two admins, but might be open for more if there should be any added interest. US teams are no problem though - but don't expect me to be on all the time because of time zone differences. I will occasionally be on very late , but i won't be playing later than around 9-10pm GMT. Currently participating in CPL with Passion Daddies but most of the guys are in diff timezones from me. I'm rank D on blizz ladder but I'm not very active laddering. I'm a T main but used to main P back in the days with a rank peak of B on ICCup so I'm in a huge skill gap from when I was active (2000-2012). Purpose of looking for team: - Self improvement - Making friends - Getting help to improve I should be able to reach B again - but now with Terran Lacking motivation right now but if i get a team I join a team I would get more motivation. ash. is looking for Terran players, and maybe one more Protoss player for the next season of STPL. Anyone who is consistently above A rank and is active can potentially join, just message me and we can discuss it. Our lineup currently has a decent amount of Protosses (Dreamer, PrO, GeNtLeMaN, KwarK, etc), and many Zergs (SquaLL, MidiaN, ret, Hejek, Shad, etc) but we have two Terrans (Myself and Radley), and I am not that active myself. What we can offer you as a player? A family oriented clan experience and potentially a pizza. | ||

Requirements for A-teamers: - Be decent (High B, A or S) - the competition in BWCL Div-A is tough! - Mannered and not short tempered - Time to play Sundays at 19CET - Reliable: if you say you will be there, be there. If something comes up on short notice after you've agreed to play in a CW, message the according squad leader. - Basic English skills are very helpful for communicating We're a very open and friendly team with players from all over the world and skill levels reaching all the way from F to S rank. We also have a second squad in Div-D, in case you want to play on a team but don't think you'd be able to hold your own in the higher divisions. 1v1 players are also welcome for both squads. | ||
