Replay

At about 10:00 I was researching lurkers and there was no progress. The upgrade was shown in the hydra den but it wasn't moving forward. I had to cancel the up and re-research to get it to move. Never seen that before.

Also just before that my mutas got stuck in his base and wouldn't move even though I kept commanding them to do so. This 2nd bug has happened to me several times but the lurker not continuing to research was weird.

Use PP/Bwlauncher to watch.

It's late lurkers because I opened with a 11 pool -> 3 hatch before gas and he got some men into my base early. 7 minute muta became like 8+ and lurkers followed right after. It's not that unusual for me to have late lurks because I open 3 hatch a lot and I'm very confident in my muta micro when they're not getting stuck.

I didn't feel I was that far behind even with ramp run + muta stuck bug + incredibly late lurk with stalled upgrade. Those certainly didn't make it easy though

just watched it, it really stopped

for about 90 seconds, the upgrade just doesn't move, then he cancelled it.

but i didn't see any stuck muta's...maybe i missed them by a few seconds.

It was when they first entered his base after killing the dropship and like 5 died to his marine fire. That wasn't a micro mistake. They wouldn't move away. I was watching them the whole time constantly clicking right click to move away and switching up their hotkeys to try to get them to move. Finally seven or so moved away but 5 just started attacking his marines and I could not make them turn around.

Like I said mutas getting stuck happens every now and then but I've never seen an upgrade just stop moving and force a cancel/re-research.

It happened once time to me but with another upgrade, cant remember wich one, then i cancelled it and when i re-researched it it was instant.

I've seen the upgrade bug once before. It happened to my clanmate in a CW, and it was a ZvT but it wasn't his lurker aspect, it was his drop upgrade. I don't know how or why, but it happened. As for the muta stuck thing, happened to me a couple of times, REALLY annoying.

The stuck thing happens to many units. It's happened to my goons about 3 times in the past week. Right clicking does nothing. You gotta press S to get them unstuck. I've been trying to do that instinctively, but every time they get stuck, it takes a few seconds for it to click in my brain.

I'd imagine the getting stuck thing to be much worse for mutas. I only wished zerg player's had their mutas stuck more vs. me!

I've had the problem with some units (definitely muta, but can't remember if other units too) just not responding to my orders either. To be clear - this isn't when goons get stuck. This is when units just keep moving somewhere or keep trying to attack something and just won't stop doing it no matter what you tell them to. All your right-clicking is just useless, they never even seem to obey your orders or flinch when you click at all.

It's hella annoying

This definitely is the revolution!! Of all the SC ingame units, ofc; perhaps they're just tired of fighting and dying on milions of PC's everyday just for our amusement (or addiction in some cases).

So far I've had marines, vultures (rarely), Dragoons (most often of all), Hydras(only once) get stuck; no upgrade bugs for me.

And I did played on that version of Gaia once, I had no Siege Tank upgrade PvT - But I believe it was UMS Gaia,and when I played "one on one" on that same version of the map, all worked fine.

I hate when you're doing like a 9 pool into 3 hatch lings and you want to mine exactly 100 gas and then go back to the minerals and you cant fucking get the drones to stop mining gas.

This happened to me in TvZ when my group of mm would not move back from attacking a sunken line so they all died and i could do nothing. just random bugs happen every so foten ><. hopefully it wont happen in a pro tourny or something.

yeah i've also had my terran units get stuck randomly on luna (melee mode).

pretty fucking annoying when your scv just sits there when you keep telling him to make a supply depot and one of your marines/medics just lays back while the rest move forward.

Could it be a bug with PP/Bwlauncher? I don't remember this stuff happening before I started using it. Has yet to happen in a progame, too, and they said they don't use BWLauncher because there are still some bugs in it.

This is probably a bug in SC Extension, not BW. Blizzard's warranty does not extend to 3rd party programs, recognized/tolerated or not, and they are obviously not going to patch code they never wrote.

i mostly don't use bwlauncher when i'm playing but i still encounter stuck lings fairly often. i expect that bug not to be bwlauncher's fault, of course it's always been around, maybe more so with goons. aren't you supposed to move them then press s then select a target if you're doing that stuff to avoid it?

Stuck units is a problem with pathing AI. A patrol or stop order usually fixes it. Stuck upgrades seems to be a problem with BWLauncher/SCExtension (and only displaying, the upgrade still continues as normal).

Isn't the issue that people are talking about really an issue with the PGT Gaia? I'm not sure about the most recent one, but I remember in one of the old PGT Gaia's, and maybe different old PGT maps, some upgrades aren't researchable. Thought it was to prevent people playing PGT maps in UMS?

i had the same problem with a 9/10 gate zealot rush with 5 probe support... all of my units wouldnt respond and just went around attacking whatever they wanted... i spammed stop for while then made them move against, after doing that twice it stopped... but it was very weird =/'

Exactly. If the game was played on UMS mode, its likely due to a buggy map version.

I can recall playing 1H4T3Z3RG on an unauthentic edition of Luna.
I was unable to upgrade ANYTHING from my factory machine shop add-on's.
The upgrade options weren't even listed, just blank slots.

Ever try playing TvP without mines, vulture speed, OR siege mode? -_-

something similar once happend to a friend of mine where he click on make lurker on 6 hydra all mineral and gas that it costs dissapeared but nothing happend with the hydras.

and once my pylon just stop giving psi to my gate and as that was first pyl and gate i build in game that ofc caused my to lose the game to rush

That happened to me too. It was a game on Bloodbath, and suddenly one of my gates showed up as unpowered. It was absolutely impossible, as no building was destroyed at that point.
But Garimto was always more than just a Protoss...

u are mixing too much stuff that has nothing to do about it.

Some meelee maps dont work in UMS just cause the creators didnt want it to work. They just disable the upgrades. I even played TvZ without heal (useless medics hum).

Now he is saying that the upgrade got stuck. That has to be the software, not the map.

About the mining workers, it happened to me too. You must press stop, but he wont stop, so u unselect and select again, and then it works. It sux tho.

Stuck goons happen all the time. I even had stuck reavers in PvP.. Damn that sucked so much!! They could still move but didnt attack at all. Lot of time in range telling to attack, got full scarabs, and still nothing.

So yea, u got bitched by the game :p
