and its THEIR movie that THEY made. if they want you to register to get it it is their right to do so, besides if you're willing to spend 12 minutes watching a movie why arent you willing to spend 30 seconds registering to see it? | ||

Not only should media and work product be free, but it has to be free in a way that is as convenient as possible to people who have done nothing to deserve it to access it. If someone wants to make a successful gaming community site and promote it by putting in the hardwork of making exclusive content, then they're underhanded and trying to steal something from people. God forbid people be appreciative of work people do and show that appreciation by performing a costless task, one that takes almost no time at all to accomplish. After all, it's a sin to promote one's website and to try to get something in return for one's own hard work. We should all selflessly give to the community because we know everyone is going to selflessly give themselves. I don't care how well thought-out your arguments may be, any person who adopts such a position is an ungrateful SOB and doesn't deserve to enjoy the benefits of the hard work of people who do these things for nothing in return. Until you contribute something significant to the community, you have no right to complain about how free stuff is given to you, especially when it's given in the way this video was offered. | ||

Such unappreciative, self-righteous, spoiled idiots don't deserve anything this site, or any other, has to offer. They should take a step outside and realize that you actually have to pay to enjoy the fruits of other people's labor in the real world. I have enormous respect for people who selflessly give to the community, people like Saro or those who ran the VOD service, because I honestly wonder at how they manage to work so hard for people who often take it all for granted. It is partly from this respect and gratitude from which my anger towards Grumel-like people stems. It's one thing to freeload off of the work of others (heck, I admit to d/ling free music/movies/etc), but it's another to complain when they add one tiny little step for you to access it. We all benefit from the work of countless others who offer something for nothing, if we're not going to thank them we should at least refrain from flaming them. | ||
