I always feel stupid mentioning the blatantly obvious to people, such as "mains are at 2, 3, 7 & 8", so I will stick to mentioning only those features that are not evident from the picture... which are... so to speak... rather: is... well... 1 (one): There are vision blockers below the mineral only formations. so ground units in the centre cannot see the workers mining.
So far I only finished this as far as was required to make it fully playable. Any more detailed decoration is still pending. Don't worry, there won't be any more snow than there is right now (which is the barest minimum required to make the blends work).
It was also pointed out to me, that there's obviously some old blizzard map by the same name. But that map is obviously so bad (as is clearly implied by "blizzard map", so why do I even mention this again?!) that I suspect no one actually knows it... I mean, the name does not even make sense for that map... So I'll be a dickhead about the map name, that is, unless some one comes up with a counter-suggestion, one that really makes me want to change the name...
Don't rag on Thin Ice man. I remember having the most goddamn fun FFAs back in middle school with my friends. I went DT/Carrier and thought I was hot shit with 40 apm.
I think there is a positional imbalance in PvT where the 3 and 9 spawns are much worse for the protoss if they spawn horizontally from the terran compared to the other spawns. Basically, the amount of space between the narrow bridge and the protoss natural opening is much smaller for those spawns, so it's much harder to make a good arc when defending a push. Rough sketch of what I mean:
YES!!! I totally love the concept of fighting on ice. I remember when BW first came out and playing on this tileset, I could totally feel like I was doing battle on some snow/ice planet. However as more and more pro maps came out, nobody wanted to make a map where you fought on ice. (Not talking about the snow tileset like tau cross, I meant actually fighting on large amounts of ice)
I always thought the argument that some pros complained that they couldn't see units clearly on it was kind of bullshit. I mean, they kept making maps on lava and you literally can't see shit there. Like, I'll be controlling my own damn lurker and once it's burrowed, it's gone forever.

They didn't complain that they couldn't see units. The complained that staring at bright white for 14 hours a day hurt their eyes, which is a completely valid complaint.

ooooh but still, isn't that a monitor settings issue? Programmers (people who code, in case you missed the extra 'm') stare at black and white all day too!

Actually, that's exactly the reason that many programmers switch their text/code editors to black background + white/coloured text. The standard of white background + black text is actually quite bad for your eyes.
There's no need to make this a two player map...that's comparable to saying make Python a 2 player map...I think good thing about this map is that ice isn't as blinding as snow is...

Close ground positions on Python is terrible so your point is invalid...

i really like the ice part of the terrain and how the ramps go in nicely! as a map maker i always appreciate details like that. althought.. ice terrain maps do remind me of an embarrassing past when i made my first map..

Thanks for the many comments so far! I made an update, hopefully fixing or at least improving the issues pointed out so far. May give some more individual answers later.
Updates a lot better Also 3FFA we gonna see a map from you sometime? Forgot to mention this earlier but I like the little ice hole in the center of the map the deco on this map fits the map name perfectly
