Should Yellow still be ranked high even though he isn't good enough to qualify for OSL and MSL? Their new gameplay isn't working and thus they're losing. Strategies change constantly and they should adapt. The 1 year Kespa ranking is fine. It shouldn't include their lifetime win-lost.

I mean... if someone shows skill, it doesn't matter if they retire, their name should still be on the board to remember their greatness. Besides, most of these "rookie hot shots" will play a bunch of games, win some tournaments, their luck will run out (or the same strategies they use over and over again will get old) and then it'll be up to people like yellow, chojja, boxer etc. to re-invent starcraft play so MORE (new) rookies can copy them and come in and own..... is it just me who feels this way or what? I really really don't like these newcomers to the ranks like anytime etc. I'd much rather have Ra, Reach, JulyZerg, GoRush (especially), Boxer, Yellow (especially) up there. They have battled FOR YEARS to not just keep starcraft alive but to keep inventing new gameplay. im sorry but ill have to disagree- the newcomer "Anytime[gm]" showed the world protoss art like we have not seen since garmito, his strategy was impeccable and won a starleague. Didnt Julyzerg pulled the same feat anytime did just one and a half years ago (royal road) so i dont see why you mentioning him helps. Wasnt it midas who popularised the now "standard" fd build? he is also another newcomer Wasnt Boxer's "8rax" originally silent_controls? Most of the so called "new comers" have also been around for a long time its jsut they have never shone untill now. And they are inventing new strategies and implementing them well aswell, for example pusan vs ioi[alive] a few weeks ago, and his insanely fast carriers on RoV. These players DESERVE to be up there in the rankings and i am more than pleased to have this new system come in (especially for players like ra and reach). These newcomers are here to stay and im sure they will bring us many good games with time

Fuck no...go July rape again that stupid Reach bitch I hate the new system, for real, How can you make a player Lose 18 spots? 18 SPOTS omfg..and reach up like..30298374927348 spots..bullshit. Why is Chojja in a lower rank, and IPXZerg is up there... These people from KeSPA, don't watch Starleagues?, TV MAtches? Chojja 3-1 IPXZerg...If that isn't something..then somebody shot me T_T~

18 SPOTS omfg..and reach up like..30298374927348 spots..bullshit. well, this is just stupid... Ask TheMarine a few years ago. i even wonder why he's still on the list right now when he doesn't even come close to taking any titles, unlike Reach who at least helped the team greatly in the Proleague for the first few matches and that's because Reach is more active than GoRush in the Proleague. if you look at gorush right now, you can't say he really should be on 2nd either. just look at iloveoov, he's a good player in team plays, usually the ace player, and he's a good OSL contender for this season as well. gorush' situation is just like nada's and xellos'. he will lose those points if he doesn't get good placings in leagues on topic, I kinda don't like the new system. So that would mean it doesn't matter if you won or lost, you still get points no matter what, and they're bigger than simply qualifying for MSLs/OSLs Chojja 3-1 IPXZerg...If that isn't something..then somebody shot me T_T~ chojja focused on getting his MSL title than winning proleagues IMO, the wise thing here is to decrease the duration which the points accumulate...something like 6 months as someone mentioned... it just feels like making your team sky-rocket in the proleague is everything right now. one day we may see the kespa have top 1-3 all SKT1s or something close...

For example: i win november starleague. This gave me 200 points now...but the next month is the result more older and because that less important and drop to 183.33..as result when ten months pass away this starleague win only value 33.33 points cause the long time that have past after the accomplisment...and when pass away one year is value = zero points...With this improvement then the rankings will be more accurated and a player gradually decrease if he lives only by pass events points instantly and not after twelve months when drastically lose all his points... Thanks...

Anyhow, as everyone pointed ELO system would be cool. Though, ELO doesn't deal with importance of the events. That is, winning someone in the OSL finals maybe should give you more points than winning the same person in the ODL R1. Or maybe I am wrong. Anyhow, the new system seems a lot better. Anyhow I will never understand Reach's 2nd place, really.

The points could be decreased in a non-constant. Say, the OSL win is worth 200 points. Then you subtract the points in progression(arithmetic), so that the first months less points are subtracted, and the last months more points are subtracted.
