I mean yeah, they will catch up pretty soon on SC2, but I don't think, that they will play this fast on GSL level or something... Dunno what to think about this format.

Han Sang Yong (Eight): Some tried at first, but they ran into tough match-ups so they reverted. Zerg players are having a hard time, so they are considering changing. S2: I'm not at the skill level to talk balance, but all the races seem good except Zer Light: I think Zerg looks the weakest, and Terran is a race that looks strong when played well. However, I haven't reached that level yet, and TvP is a bit hard.

Oh well, at least we got a very good final in the last "real" proleague...

I think the vast majority have a problem with it regardless of what game they like/play once they actually understand the format. There will always be a few exceptions of the rule and they'll state it's a transition phase that helps bring the two communities together. To me it isn't really fair to the players or to the competition. Teams are certainly going to be stretched thin with the OSL still going and now this.

That's the only way they would be eligible for the Ace match. Oddly enough this can allow people with worse winrate on the roster, if they are better balanced between the two games. Player A winrates: ~~ 70% BW ~~ 20% SC2 Player B winrates: ~~ 40% BW ~~ 60% SC2 In 20 alternating sets, A wins 9, B wins 10, so B becomes more valuable to the team, even though in BW A has 70% winrate and B has 40% winrate (and just 60% SC2 winrate). + Show Spoiler [Rant] + You know, I'm quite angry, because they force this in such a hurry. They should have let those respected highly skilled progamers to train SC2 calmly for at least 3 months, before starting a professional televised league with them playing a game they are still learning. It's basically an absurd. In theory, they could actually learn the game and reach a level where they would be able to play well both SC2 and BW simultaneously. But that takes time, they need to get into SC2 first. While they are still transitioning, of course both performances will suffer. It gives the false impression that one can't play both games, which I don't fully agree with. But I agree that one can't simultaneously be playing the best RTS and intensively learning a new one. The learning has to be complete first. Then it could be possible, but they just force it and ruin a potentially not so horrible idea.

Interesting...this makes the format incredibly dumb. Assuming Flash is practicing SC2 as much as he is saying so, there's a possibility he would suck in BW from not practicing and still suck in SC2 because it's just a totally new game. Especially since rosters can be set every month, we may see unknowns on each team playing Ace matches.

So in other words, we get to watch the final days of BW as the days when everyone stops even practicing the game. That doesn't make any sense tho. There is a prize money for these things. You honestly think the finalists of the OSL are going to be like:" O well fuck this first place check" and not end up practicing at all? No lol.If anything these people will practice more in the upcoming week than they have in their entire career and that is the real problem here. The greed of kespa and sponsors have thrown them into such a situation that they will be mentally on the edge... I would not be surprised if we see decent or very good quality of the games but the players will suffer so much its going to be ridiculous. Have you SEEN any of the OSL games? Pure shit. I don't need to argue logistics or theories when the evidence is right there. The OSL games are terrible. This was done intentionally so that people wouldn't be able to point to great BW games right before SC2 comes out and claim that there is something worth saving. It's not to ease the transition of BW to SC2 but to force it even more. Thank you @ Blizzard, KeSPa, and everyone else involved in this murder. The best part is that the Korean BW following is probably STILL stronger than the SC2 one, but it sure won't be after this season. Perfect plot! Good work all around, pass around the cigars. FML. That's a pretty serious accusation. You know, when you think about it, this mixed league is a pretty big 'fuck you' to the actual players. If they're going to switch to SC2, they should do it. Otherwise all the foreign SC2 fans will tune in, see crappy half-assed SC2, and say "Well, that was underwhelming", and not watch Proleague anymore. It's not like there's an SC2 shortage. And then proleague will be right back where it started six months ago: tied to a game without the Korean fanbase to support it (anymore in BW's case, ever in SC2's), and no love from the fat wallet foreigners.

I just feel so disgusted how BW will end. Let it die gracefully instead of this abomination that we will witness in the future T_T
