Here's what I did: I put all the things (6 I think) in my starcraft folder (you know the place with "maps" "characters" etc). I load up the launcher and click configure and click the three boxes and 800-600. I delete penguin plug from my starcraft folder. I dowload the update if there is one. I restart the launcher and click load at start and then run 1.13e... then my computer hums and broodwar come on the screen as an unopenable tab and eventually the launcher quits and I can try again. What's my prob? I don't mess with that install thing on the top. Should I?
I've got pretty much the same exact problem. Only DLL files in my folder are the necessary SC/BW files and the ones to run BWTV itself. Don't have PP. Install.exe is in my SC directory. Do all the things it says and have tried everything suggested here.
My computer just tries hard to run it. BWLauncher minimizes to the system tray and BW comes up [as -_- said] as an unopenable tab. Then BW closes itself and nothing else happens. Not even an error message. ;_;

geez, ive had so many problems trying to make this work...and my friends have too. finally, i realized i should try with a physical cd and not Daemon Tools and after fiddling around with the Install Path button and restarting bwlauncher it worked. now i just have to figure out why it's not working on everyone else's computer that i know...

no it doesn't, but ashur did say that it just doesn't work on some comps right now and he doesnt know what the problem is:/ To me most of these problems seem to be related to Direct Draw issues. Wich starcraft has always had and this program seems to have issues with it too. Together it just causes many problems~_~
When i get on b.net it is COMPLETELY glitchy and messed up till i get in a game;o
Gl though:/

Ok, so I got bwlauncher to work without trying anything but I'm still having problems.
I have it checked to start the bwobserver but If I load starcraft WITH penguin plug checked, it will come up, but it wont load in 800x600 and the bwobserver doesnt work. If i load starcraft WITHOUT penguinp lug checked, it makes a noise (like the ping noise in windows) and then starcraft appears in my start-bar for like 2 seconds and disappears and does nothing-_-
what am I doing wrong?
EDIT: I'm horribly frustrated right now, but I would like to extend a HUGE thank-you to ashur for all the work he has done :D
EDIT2: I'm on windows 2000, i dont remember but I think it may have mattered with the origional op3 does anyone remember?

Wow, I thought it wasn't anything special, until I noticed the "Unit Selection" option. Wow...just amazing. It's like, a 1st person VOD of every replay, but with an insanely small size! ^^;

I think guys like ashur should be rewarded by blizzard... they keep the game alive. I really love these programs, and i think this one is the best Sc related program i have ever used. THANK YOU ASHUR & EVERONE DEVELOPING PROGRAMS FOR SC.

.rar files are just another way to zip things. Download WinRar from the site and then u can extract the actual program to your sc folder.

It is launched using BWLauncher.exe (v2) and loads with StarCraft. BWTV analyzes a replay file, each command, and simulates it in a StarCraft client - in any speed, just like a normal replay. The observer, watching the game with BWTV, sees units and the game play almost as if he'd been sitting next to the player's screen ("first person mode"), except for the mouse which unfortunately is not saved in the replay file. I thought this was one of the key features? No more of this interpolated click selection crap that just guestimates where the view likely was, but actual mouse coordinate capture data. Is this not true? Is the main feature of this now the ability to connect to a replay server and watch it live/on a delay?
|
Yeah really, where is the actual mouse?
|
Can somebody give more detailed instructions on how to run this?
|
the actual mouse isnt saved in replays, just whenever the mouse does something.
|
Ashur is the man ! respect !! btw good luck in school ;]
|
Okay.. I am further along in this process... but now I have the options of "run 1.09d" or "run 1.10"
|
Um Are there certain System reqs? Because I do everything the instructions say and I keep getting the option to send an error report
