Going far enough to banning players who played sc2 on the big stage who were still kespa players (NaDa anyone?) Kespa wants a iron grip on esports in Korea, thats why they do progamer licenses and such. If you don't get a license you don't play, simple as that. Which means if they do something similar to courage, it'll be tougher than code B to get into. Which will make almost no foreigner ever come close to Korea, and Koreans won't have time to particpate in other leagues anyways because of the shechuale that kespa and gom will have. You'll have PL, OSL, GSL all in Korea. Koreans will take those leagues over any foreign tournaments any day. Which means Koreans travelling outside Korea will be almost nil. Nevermind the fact that if they were to even try to get koreans to particpate in leagues outside Korea, they would have to get kespa's approval, and that comes with having to pay big fees to kespa. Kespa's staff 90% of the time is unresponsive or just don't care. They don't care about outside Korea, they never do, and never will. Its just Kespa's nature, their board of directors are all sponsors, and the sponsors are mostly Korean exclusive companies, so they don't care about leagues outside Korea. Which means teams like SKT or KT, won't send their players outside Korea, because they don't need the exposure outside Korea. WTF are u talking about? I believe Kespa players were present for all large BW event (WCG, Blizzacon, etc......). You name one relevant large event that didnt have any BW players participate in. Any small event was not worth BW players time, since they got bigger fishes to fry. Didnt' Nada retire his license before playing Sc2? They offered to renew his contract but he decided to leave. Sea.guemchi left for sc2 and eventually came back to play BW. Whats your point? Hell if i started an organization I too would want a iron grip on how it develops. Kespa offering licenses removes scrubs from the scene u cant really be offended by that can u seriously? You want to watch the best go at it or up coming stars, no one wants to c some F games. Regarding the quote from FXO (true or not), if Sc2 is as popular as they say it is they have nothing to fear unless they know Sc2 isnt as stable as they think it is. I watched a couple of MLG sc2 game and I must say it is deathball vs deathball. The boringest match up I saw was between a korean and a foreigner (zvz). It was late game and they threw infested terran on high grounds for about 5 minutes while the commentators were all hyped up. The only match up I've seen that has some flavor is early pvp (maybe I havent watched enough games). Every gamer knows that games like sc2 and bw, or css and cs 1.6 can not co-exist and one's gotta go (tournament wise that is)..............

Through having a long talk at a public bath, coach saw he still had passion and he has got his act together since then, so Coach Ju has high hopes. -When asked if he will stick with his 6 starters, he says yes. He says there is a chance that SC2 will be implemented into the schedule next season, in which case it will become a Bo7 once again and his starting lineup might see a change, but otherwise with just BW, the 3 rookies lag far behind the 6 starters, so they won't see much play time. -His stance on running BW and SC2 in the same league is 'trial and error.' He says somebody will complain regardless of what get's done. He isn't against implementing SC2 in the same league. He is against a complete switch from BW to SC2, but he says SC2 is a necessary stepping stone for e-sports to branch out internationally, so there needs to be some way of transitioning, -On the question of "will sc2 help team8?" he says no, because other teams have been practicing since the beginning of last season, while team8 really didn't have the capacity to incorporate it into their schedule. -He says his team is currently in the talks with a few potential sponsors. -His thoughts on foreign tourneys in SC2: not a big problem, and he thinks it is only natural to enter, and the mingling of foreign and Korean players is a step in the right direction. -His thoughts on the skill gap between current SC2 pros and BW pros: although the gap is huge at the moment, he isn't worried, as he believes BW pros will catch up quickly. -How good is JD in SC2? Coach Ju: players who were dominant in BW also seem to be dominant in SC2. His feel for the game and macro is impeccable. He is studying unfamiliar strats from VOD's. He had a hard time adjusting at first but since the game is fun the players have gotten very competitive about their ladder points. Some have made multiple accounts to start over and get to masters quickly. Since hotkeys are adjustable, that makes it easier to transition. However the pace of the game is much faster. Right now we are focusing on SC2. At the beginning it was hard to incorporate both games into our regime, but now we are used to it. -Other teams? Coach Ju: Not sure about their skill levels. We [=the different teams] haven't really shared who is even playing SC2. One thing is for sure though: most high masters on ladder these days are current BW pros. -Thoughts on BW fans against incorporating SC2? Coach Ju: Lots of people are against the idea of change, but I want to ask them, as fans of esports, what is the right choice? Nobody plays BW outside of Korea anymore, and looking 5 years ahead, transitioning to SC2 is the right decision. It would be a disservice to all the foreign fans wanting to watch JD play SC2 to limit him to BW. If you give SC2 a chance, most of the time people have the reaction of 'It's actually more fun than I thought.' I hope people can give it a chance. -Predictions for SKPL finals? Coach Ju: KT has momentum, while SKT got to choose the maps for the first and last game. I think a big factor is Coach Park's (SKT T1's coach) decision to just sacrifice a scrub for Flash or bring one of his aces and make em go head to head and try to beat him. I don't believe the series will be one-sided in either direction wtf. already? btw can this be edited into the OP so everyone can see? I feel it is important enough. on topic, this is nuts. Did the sponsors agree to continue funding even though the teams will play a different game? Also, I feel like SC2 is nowhere near enough skill wise to make great use of JD and Flash type players. Waste of talent imo. HOPEFULLY, dustin browder and his gang cater the expansions to the influx of these great players or their show is going to be nowhere as successful. Currently the game will hold these A teamers back. which is very sad.

Or would they endorse it? That's if KeSPA becomes the governing body of all SC2 in Korea. All the current SC2 teams are still completely separate from KeSPA and can do whatever they please, and I think most of them will try their best to remain independent or at least retain most of their freedoms should they join up.

But there are definitely going to be people who after seeing BW played at its highest level aren't going to be interested in amateurs We call those people "fair-weather fans". There are communities for a lot of games which have a fair amount of competition and never seem to die, but BW was the first game that challenged the idea that a video game couldn't be a sport, and to see it deteriorate to the level of a video game that only devoted fans play is not ideal. But like I've said before, the future is mysterious and we don't know if BW could become a real sport a second time. The chances of that happening are only as crazy as the chances of it happening the first time. It's not dead yet, you know. Nor has it's death been announced, and the implication is that it's here to stay, just kind of weirdly married to SC2 for the forseeable future.
