I know there's already threads on this, but they're all old and I was thinking of getting together a new group of people to play TMA regularly. I keep trying in the teamliquid channel, but I figured it'd be more conducive to have a place where we could organize without having to worry about who's on at a particular time.
If no one knows what this is, it's a 3v3 micro game where you choose batches of units and the goal is to kill the other team in squad style combat.

I was thinking 7-11weeknights. Don't worry if you've never tried, it's really informal and just for fun and we can teach you some basics.

Absolutely. I'm hoping it's just the time of night that's keeping people from posting, because this was one of my all time favorite UMS maps and I'd really like to get a solid group of people to play. I'll PM you if we get enough people and it turns into a regular thing.

i may up for a few games after proleague, its been ages since i've touched this map
i also remember there was a version of this where it was super fast paced and had some imba special cards... i think it was called wired? those were super fun

Hilariously, I can play Starcraft 2 reasonably well (I drop occasionally) but as soon as I try to log onto USEast to play some team micro, OPTUS* SAYS NO.
When I lived in Perth, I was happy enough playing with a 400+ ping (even TMA); when I moved to Sydney, I was astounded by how much faster the internet was here (because Perth connection routes through Sydney -> US, although I believe it routes through Singapore -> SEA). I'm using Optus mobile modem thing now, and it does not like Battle Net 1.0 at all. Holding out for iinet or internode to come fix up a naked ADSL connection but there's a big drama because they have to connect a copper line to the street, yadda yadda, s'gonna be expensive and they have to call in a tech, and there's like a two week waiting period ...
*Apparentl Optus routes via the US -> SEA, which makes no sense whatsoever.

I used to love playing this. Too bad they don't have this in SC2. I might be up for this if you get a scheduled time to meet up regularly.

I loved this game, specially Gold V2, man i miss those times, BW is so fun  . I feel bad for not finding time to play.

I love TMA and am relatively good at it. I learned tactics from TMA- tagged members. One problem: My laptop's charger doesn't work so... no TMA/SC for me for at least another week or two. Sorry!

O crap, sorry.
When will this be played again. If you guys can play next week Friday or Saturday, any KST. you can count on me. I was unable to play earlier because it's monday here and I have classes and stuff. I'll try to bump this on Saturday KST after the PL Games.

i played some with friends the other day, and wow Kerrigan is ridiculously strong with Zerg units. Had to resort to getting a DA for mind control sniping to counter that lol

Hunter Killer is also the hardest of the 15k point getters [HK, kerri, duran, guis, jimmy raynor] to successfully brood, due to its burrowing ability and high speed. (if the queen targets it with brood, then the hk steps on a teleport, the brood will miss and the energy will be lost. the HK is fast enough to continually run from teleport to teleport and dodge broodlings in the hands of a particularly adept player)

Was originally the set up, but since school ended and I started working I haven't had the time xD

If you trying to make a group and trying to setup of a time might I recommend Skype groups. If you get everyone in your group just to login into Skype you can just live chat with all the members so you can just say so and so let's get a game together. Instead of having to rebump the thread. Just a suggestions I wish you the best of luck getting your UMS team together ^_^.
If you end up getting a Skype group together I'll be interested in joining whenever I am available ^_^.
