On women...
"She would be my princess and I would be her servant (laughs)." -JD "She'll be fine cause she'll be living in a $2 million mansion" -Flash
On money "I want to be remembered as a good player... a moral player." -JD "I want to get filthy rich" -Flash keep in mind that this is a translation and contextual meaning may be lost in the process. Flash didn't sound arrogant nor immature in his interview; I used the word 'filthy' because he used the term 재벌 which is a term denoting not merely wealthy, but EXTREMELY privileged people, sort of like an aristorcracy. Flash by no means boasted about his earnings, and I feel bad that my translation might give him a bad rap. Just wanted the translation to reflect the casual/light-hearted/fun quality of the original interview, ya know? I'll fix the wording if more people have problems with my word selection.

Really enjoyed the second half too I think it's a little unfair to judge Flash on wanting to become rich. I think these things are said half jokingly, but even so it doesn't make him immature. His capacity to think from other people's perspective's isn't limited by an aspiration to live comfortably after he can no longer play StarCraft. He is probably worried what will happen to him when that day comes (which when you consider how young he was when he first became a progamer... StarCraft is all he knows right now. He might not be confident he can get a good job, as enjoyable a job, as he currently has.
There's many things one can speculate without being too judgemental. I'm sure he has his faults, but immaturity is not one of them. It seems far fetched to imply he is only playing SC for money.

TOO LATE! ur already a robot flash ^.^

Why are people complaining because Flash said that he wanted to be rich? That's one of the main things that most people strive for in life.

If he cant woo women with his 400apm and godlike starcraft skills then he'll definitely woo women with his 2mil mansion

I'm not saying Flash is bad, but is less of a gentleman compared to Jaedong.

You distinctly said that Flash wasn't mature. That's completely incorrect. Flash is one of the more mature players in the scene. Jaedong might strike you as more mature due to his concerns (age-wise, career-wise), but Flash has consistently gone deeper when asked about particular things in Starcraft and in its mental aspect. I dispute your contention. That's unfair to Flash.

This is an absolutely amazing interview, thanks a ton rslee and rotinegg for translating it whole. Flash seems like he figured a lot of things out at a very young age. The bits about "solitude at the top" are especially touching.

Don't worry about it. It wouldn't be a proper Flash interview if someone didn't try to twist his words to make him look bad lol.

"I just hope people don't forget that I am human too."
yeah...right.

How is that a more mature answer? It's just another thing that everyone wants.
