Okay, well "filthy rich" has a negative connotation and Flash really just said he wanted to be a "rich, high-class man" sorta thing. 재벌 also implies having strong financial strength and somewhat of a cooperate-culture background (in the CEO family or something). I almost thought Flash said 더러운 부자가 되는게 꿈이에요 which would be indeed a dream of being filthy rich. WHY U ANTIFLASH ROTINEGG? EH? EXPOSEDDDD LOL Anyways, thanks for translation =P <3 TossGirl

To excel in something you need to sacrifice a lot. If you stop from doing your best, stop trying hardest you can, you will be surpassed in no time by someone else. There are tons of people who are below you and will try to surpass you at all costs. They will work harder, sacrifice more than you and in no time you will find yourself dethroned. For some people this may be too costly and I respect that. But others, like Flash will try to continue being best in what they're doing and they will keep paying the cost in terms of private life... If anything, this interview shows that Flash IS affected this sacrifice. And he understand it very well. It makes me like him and respect him even more because I also sacrificed a lot to be were I am currently and I also sacrifice a lot of my private life to excel. Like Flash I believe that you need to work really really hard to be at the top and talent alone is not enough. I bet for most of TL users working 10-12 hours daily (including weekends and not including in the work lunch, food breaks and any time that you are procrastinating) seems like a fantasy. He's young and as long as he's passionate enough about the game there is no problem that he focuses only on his professional life. As he grows older I bet he will start to refocus and then probably will also lose his throne as they will be players as talented as him and working much harder than he will be. And in my opinion, Flash came out much more mature than Jaedong in this interview. First in the part about Tossgirl and her experience as a progamer and then when talking about him being the best player. I was surprised that he was so mature.

Who would say "I just want to be rich and put my girl in a 2 million dollar mansion". Not even in Korea which values those things a lot more than Americans or Europeans. I always thought that Jaedong was the more reasonable person who I would much rather meet in person.

Kinda hard to peer into Tossgirl's soul when Jaedong barely knows her, not to mention opening up to a stranger. But I agree with the Flash bit outside of the direct comparison; he definitely feels like he's been hanging out with the older crowd and their maturity are rubbing off on him.

On women... "She would be my princess and I would be her servant (laughs)." -JD "She'll be fine cause she'll be living in a $2 million mansion" -Flash On money "I want to be remembered as a good player... a moral player." -JD "I want to get filthy rich" -Flash

As you grow older, financial needs start being your priorities or your main priority in life. Its obvious flash has been influenced by many of the older progamers who probably have to deal with financial issues and he wishes he dose not have the same problem. Jaedongs views seem more idealistic than pragmatic. And your just cherry picking evidence to support your own stand since u totally missed out on the part where Flash said he wants to be a better human by helping out his juniors more.
