yes it seems like it is a 3day week,I wonder how long the season will go because without a second channel its still going to be quite long and it does mean less BW than last season,but at the same time if you look at the the gaps are long enough for players to practice more.
also there is no note about SC2 yet so...yay us?
just note that while that is the schedule posted at the OGN studio its still not officially announced which is why the title says rumored.

I'm going to Korea for a month-long holiday from December 10, and I've been worried about the chance of missing proleague. It's great to have confirmation that it will be going by the time that I get there!
3 days a week and the lower number of teams might help BW honestly. I feel like the product was being overexposed. You had many cases where two teams would be facing in PL and the stadium would be almost empty, because there's not enough fan interest to fill seats for 2 separate PL games per night, 5 nights a week, + SL matches. This creates a feeling the product is "dying" even if there is still a larger general interest than most athletic events get, which affects things like how much money advertisers are willing to pay to air commercials during matches. Also, fewer people will watch these "unimportant" matches at home as well, which compounds the problem of advertisement money.
Unfortunately, all these long breaks between leagues with little information and the very public deaths of teams is very bad for BW and may be doing more damage than smarter planning can fix.

SHIT I'll be in Vegas around that time . Also there are a loooooot of Koreans playing League especially around 1 am and onwards PST and it's getting pretty popular too now so I wouldn't be surprised~

with only one channel showing, they should definitely switch to a 3 round format... the old 5 round format would take forever. 3 round format with one winner's league round, top 4 or 5 go to the playoffs.

God, that was like a cruel joke. This huge ass banner saying Proleague is coming, and 1) it's for Special Forces, 2) If you try to click on the Starcraft Proleague tab, it says "You cannot participate at this time." THEN WHEN, KESPA, WHEN? UGH.
If Proleague is coming so soon wouldn't we be seen more announcements? I mean they aren't going to just slam us with a new season all of a sudden. There has to be a ton of hype considering this might be the last Proleague So yeah I guess we should of saw it coming.

Phew, i just realised that my exam falls on the 19th as well (last exam 30th, but none on 26th).. I guess im a little thankful that it's on 26th now.. Sorry to those who are hurt and/or consumed by their thirst for BW though <3

Seriously the PL has to be announced, because it drives me nuts. I hope no issues will come up. I've even been banned on TL with prolongation for bashing SC2 which is damn funny considering how mannered i am usually. Thank gamer's god for Skyrim though. Come on, announce the damn thing.

On topic - Great news that we'll be getting another season of PL, whenever it starts. Hopefully there won't be much drama during it and we get awesome games and a nice play-off season. Wonder who's gonna play the oppening match. KT vs. Team8/SKT1 is my bet

What I miss is those parts during a really awesome game or a really close ace game where we're all watching our screens really close and the OGN directors cut to the teams and coaches who are glued to the game too and that solidarity just makes me giddy.
fuck yeaaa just started playing bw competitively last month (after years of casual play, very little exposure to proscene), so im excited to be able to follow proleague properly for the first time ^^

Yeah, somewhat agreed. Would be nice if the company sponsoring PL isn't already sponsoring a team. Still, it's good to know that it's at least getting sponsored and there will be a season.

Not at all, companies can take breaks from sponsoring. Nate sponsored an OSL and then sponsored an MSL 6 years later. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shinhan Bank sponsoring another PL season in the future.
Here's the problem. I need to check again, but seems like the person involved in KeSPA from SK is from SK Planet division, possibly one of the higher-ups in the SK Planet.

It's a similar situation in the Special Force 2 Proleague. That league has been sponsored by another SKT division for 2-3 seasons now.
