jkjk. Truthfully, Flash & Hoejja are two of my favorite players, and who doesn't love Reach? I just had to go seem them
Fanmeet was at the OGN esports stadium. The info said first come, first serve, so I got there really early. Turns out you had to sign up online, which I didn't know about. One of the girls working there was extremely kind, and slipped me into the line anyway. I laughed every time someone asked me my favorite team and player and I had to lie, "KT and Flash."
Activities:
1) They allowed questions from the audience (both fans and press). I couldn't understand everything, but one fan asked Flash about his wrist, another asked who the "practice bonjwa" was (apparently it's Hoejja), and the last one said something that sounded like "Stats, your nose seems almost as big as Bisu's now." stop making fun of Bisu T__T
2) Dinner with the players. Each player drew a number for which table they would go to eat with. I was really really hoping for Flash, but table 10 got him (damn youuu). Barracks was at my table. I felt awful because I'm insanely shy and terrible at speaking Korean, so I didn't say much to him, and it was a little awkward. He did reveal that KT's first match would be against Airforce ACE, and that the season would start on the 26th.
3) Table bingo. Our table was the first to win, and we got 20,000 won gift cards. The second table to win all got signed mousepads and t-shirts. How is that fair??? /cryingforever
4) Exhibition matches. First one was Reach vs. Flash. Do I dare say I'm the first person on TL to witness Flash playing a BW game after his surgery? Anyway, he was brilliant as always; lots of great dropship play. The highlight (and end of the game) was when Reach sent his arbiter into Flash's main, which was COVERED with mines, recalled his entire army there (even though all the fans were screaming at him not to), and it instantly exploded in a huge pile of blue goo. Here's a video of the moment:
Second game was between the former Chin brothers, Stats and Mind. Stats won with some gosu carrier play.
The whole time, they called a little Korean boy from the audience to help commentate, and geez, I swear this kid is going to be working at OGN 10 years from now. He was just so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and cute too. It's nice to see the young generation (like, kids that are younger than BW itself) still getting into the game.
Lastly, we took a group photo. I'm on the bottom right, next to Hoejja ^^
I thought they were going to provide time at the end to talk/take pictures/get autographs from the players, but they didn't... So I didn't get a chance to get Kangmin or Reach's signatures T-T
Pictures! (sorry, I wish I had a better camera)
The fanboards. The one on the left, you post things that you'd like to see for this coming season. Almost half of them were things like "I want to see the players do more ceremonies!" hehe. The one on the right is where you put a sticker next to the exhibition match you want to see.
KT's winner trophies and old uniforms.
Lots of cheerfuls for Violet. Hope he gets better and can join the team for the next fanmeet.
ㅋㅋㅋ my two favorites <3
Barracks holding the bingo-winner board.
Stats picking out the season wish that he liked the most. The girl who wrote it got a signed shirt T_T
Reach vs. Flash game!
Flash is such a cutie.
Picture with Barracks. I'm sorry I was such an awkward turtle all night ;_;
Man, who makes these shoes? First SKT with the radioactive candy shoes, now KT with the crazy neon ones.
The only two autographs I had time to get... Oh well. lol, Flash had a really hard time writing my name.
So this night has made me love the boys that much more. KT has just propelled itself all the way up to... my 3rd favorite team. Which means that I'll definitely attend their games and cheer for them, as long as it's not against SKT or Khan. KT fighting~
