Poll: Do you consider your Micro or Macro stronger? (Compared to other players)

the reason i ask this is because like 70% of the people I meet claim to have super strong micro and poor macro compared to other people.
This has led me to suspect people are either overestimating their micro (possibly based on beating micro maps that really aren't extremely difficult) or underestimating their macro??
I just thought it would be interesting to see if thats true or if the distribution would be more 50-50... because in reality half the people have stronger micro than macro compared to other people and half must have stronger macro than their micro... (compared to others)

I think you are right, most people, regardless of whether their macro abilities are, will think that they are better with micro skills. The reason being that you can notice and be in awe of a gosu micro, but for macro...it's just remembering to build the buildings/units (although argumentably more important than micro, it is no where near as exciting as microing)

it's easier to focus a group of units full time than control buildings and units at the same time

well i guess it varies more on which race im playing, but i'd still say that my micro is stronger

lol you are right, i think people suck at macroing, so when they loose they blame that, still their oponent had a sucky macro too

thus more people claim to be good at microing
I'm also better at micro.

I find my micro and macro to be equally poor ^^ But in theory I think macroing is more difficult than microing because it often demands that you multitask, whereas when microing you can devote a lot of time on a single battle and still be ahead.

Micro is easier because it's for a shorter amount of time. Macro is all game, I can't be bothered to actually build stuff all the time.

Macro has always been my strong point :O
I hate to see non-flashing command centers, larvaes, idle scvs/drones, money above 1000, buildings with queued units, unorganized buildings etc.
EDIT: Macro is definitely coolest !!

Definatly micro, not that its very good. But i allways forget about my macro while doing something

i honestly consider my early game micro better then my macro, b/c u know lings and lurks, but late game i get so unorganized, troops flying everywhere, my late game macro is better then my late game micro by far
