You know what I'm talking about? Greed, Slaughter, Sudden Death, and Capture the Flag.
I have absolutely no clue what each of these game modes mean. I tried to search for them but to no avail. Does anyone know how each these game modes are played?
Also, is there anyone who would like to play in one of these game modes? After 1000s of melee games I think we should take a small break and play some of these game modes because I think it would be fun for a bit. Who's interested? Leave your sn and gateway you play on and I'll come to catch you (but find out how these game modes are played first)

Greed is the first player to reach a set number of minerals. I think default is like 10,000.
Slaughter is first player to reah a set number of unit kills.
Sudden Death..dunno.
Capture the flag is Awful. You each start with a beacon near your base with a flag in the middle of it. Then, it's the first player to retrieve the other player's flag wins. Only a drone/scv/probe can pick up enemy's flag. It might be a more interesting game if you set a time limit before you are allowed to capture your friend's flag.
You did not mention team melee, so I am guessing you know how that setting works.

sudden death is when your cc/nexus/main hatch dies... then you lose the game

they had a sudden death league on OGN a few years ago for fun, it was pretty boring.
the players played random because they were for fun games, which I've always hate. The "for fun" games become awful when the players start sucking ass with races they don't know how to play 
anyway I think ssamjang won that league? I forgot T_T

lmao fakesteve hosted a sudden death tourney not to long ago... I thought it wa sonly main hatch/nex/or cc so i expoed and go tclicffed and he killed expo and everything blew up !!!! BM!!!!!

There should be special maps for these modes. Then it could work, but maybe not.

soem of the original blizzard ums maps have these sorts of types eg 'king of the hill' , also theres that single player mission where you have to collect 10,000 crystals (and infest as many cc's as possible)
