So apparently, this guy said Manager Cho.. was fired. Shocking fast? He posted it on the 24th. (Translation on Manager Cho)
He also made a lot of other statements. Who knows if the other parts are true~
Translation of the bit that was posted on the 24th
Title: "Hwaseung Manager Out ~ and other news~"
There'll be an article about this soon I don't know how they'll spin it Not sure if they'll spin it as a resignation But he's been fired as of today Well... doesn't matter if you believe me or not You'll look at this post later and realize it
Just.... remember what I said
Ah, and the team that'll be disbanding will be Estro... and it's likely to be Korean Air... And.... CJ already tried to disband last year... they're probably still trying still ~ They did a salary freeze last year or something
If you want to think this is dogshit then go ahead... hehehe, just remember this later and you'll see~~~~
Part 2, posted today/last night
First... the resignation... hrm, we'd have to say "fired" The reason is that there were a lot of various problems (I hope you guess this yourself, I'm scared. Am I gonna get sued? hehe).... He got fired because there was an anonymous letter sent to the company... (It arrived anonymously, I don't know the details but it looks like all the bad? things he did during the time were written)
Secondly,,, CJ Disposal was a story that came out before... I don't know if the Manager's retirement was related to match fixing (If I honestly don't know, I say that I don't know) But from my guess, I don't think it's related And I don't personally know what kind of person he is But I heard he was successful in whatever he did and made a lot of money (I know that he has a villa in Kang Nam and his wife is also well to do)
Yellow Match Fixing... Well, there isn't anything that has been revealed.... Since there isn't any evidence, there's nothing I can say. Someone asked if there were other people who match fixed... There are people who looks like they match fixed but there aren't any evidence so I'm not going to say anything.
But there is someone who is really stubborn kekekeke He said he didnt' match fix to the very end... He's incredible really I'm watching his games and kekekeke But if he's quick to catch on he'll take care of it himself? (Well it's not like I have real evidence for him but if you look at it it's pretty much... hehehe)
someone asked if the BW industry is ending
Personal opinion but I think it's going into some rather bad places I want you to think about why the IP negotiations are going on at this timing. When Starcraft 2 is coming out, when you say you want to play Starcraft 1, what would the company who made SC2 thnk......?
It's not something to just attack KeSPA People are saying why they're not stopping the Starleague, but if they're stopping the Proleague and just have the Starleague, the Progame teams value of existence will decrease tremendously? And everything after that... I think you can figure it out even though I don't say anything (I dont know how it'll turn out after this either so i'll tell you guys as i hear it)
Ah, and lastly, I'll tell you a fun story. You know that famous game between Savior and hyvaa match fixing match? Why I said the acting was so good... Well, honestly, that was a game where Savior was supposed to win. He knew the build before the match started. So that's why the people involved got the info and bet on Savior... But Savior hit them on the head and lost lolololol that's why I'm saying that's not acting and it could be real. But who knows, he and a few other people could have bet on hyvaa and lied to people around him and used a "fake". But from what I know that's how it went down.
Ah well there's a lot of other things I want to write I'll wait until the BW industry dies.... i'm scared hehehehehe
About the Yellow question: It was asked by netizens cause his account got hacked, and his original post was edited to say "Yellow match fixed". So he just answers the questions - there's nothing implicating on Yellow in anyway.
Part 3:
The things I've said about the match fixing is not 100% certain. It's true from what I've heard and from the situation. But it could also be the case where it could not be the case ~~~
But there are people who think i'm playing with the public opinion. but that's not why i wrote this~~
I'm hoping you'll just think of it as an entertaining gossip.
Translating this cause "one part" of his rumors were true. How true are the others? I don't know.
EDIT: FYI Part was posted on the 24th. EDIT2: lol the article JUST got deleted. fml i didnt copy the korean EDIT3: Part 2 translated. EDIT4: Removed the "edited" portion, it was confirmed by the original IP that it wasn't him EDIT5: Part 3 added
On September 03 2010 15:43 alffla wrote: wtf why did CJ try to disband the team???? what would happen to all the players then..
yellow match fixigin? yellow as in hong jin ho yellow !?
yeah apparently real yellow.
who knows. maybe it has to do with sc2, and cj trying to leave KESPA. CJ trying to leave kespa influence makes sense since they do have share in gretech. makes sense that both coach chos "resigned"
Also, in terms of the players who match fixed known the the industry insiders.... Bisu Stork July, those three are the most famous, but Yellow didn't fix that much so he's not that known (I'm not saying he didn't match fix)
Even if his one prediction were based on insider information (seems pretty likely, really) and not just a wild guess that turned out to be right, there's no reason to believe the rest of the speculation, because their dispersed nature makes them all coming from the same reliable information that said Coach Cho was out incredibly unlikely.
On September 03 2010 15:48 razorsuKe wrote: ooo, I love this juicy gossip. It's some nostradamus type shit right here, one thing proves to be true... how will the others turn out? O_O
I would find the gossip fun if it didn't all point to Brood War dying, and people either jumping ship or getting the boot.
What is going on ... it feels like the entire BW foundation is going to crumble in just a matter of weeks if any of this is true. Multiple teams disbanding, more stars standing accused, long time managers leaving or being fired (?). Whatever ends up being true I feel very uneasy about all this.

tbh bisu match fixing has been rumored for a while. a lot of koreans just speculated that the problem was a lot deeper than it was, and kespa just covered shit up so the entire scene doesnt die. match fixing was probably a lot more widespread than what was officially announced.

"CJ was trying to disband last year" "massive matchfixing scandal coverup by Kespa"
read developements on dcinside sounds like some retard hacked his account and added info about yellow stork and bisu match fixing hence, that is unlikely to be true the rest seems to be true
On September 03 2010 15:53 Airazor wrote: That's crazy, didn't expect so many players to have been match fixing..can't be too good for esports.
The names are rumors. Sangho was destroyed by rumors. I'm not saying the match-fixing scandal wasn't bigger than what they officially announced, because it probably was, but you can't determine the players involved from hearsay. The big-name players are all too easy targets.
He did not state that Bisu Stork July and Yellow were involved; someone else got the password and edited the words (>.> What)
There's no evidence of Yellow's match fixing. He suspects more people, but there aren't evidences of those players so he won't be stating them (true or trolling?)
But, he does state that one of those suspects is the player who constantly repeated on the television shows 'I was not involved in match fixing'

IP is different. Tons of fakers right now, not sure who to believe atm.
This one is apparently his new post but dunno yet.
Even if it looks like that matchfixing stuff is false, CJ trying to disband was presumably part of the original post, which would partially explain the manager resigning. That would suck since CJ is one of the companies involved in eSports that has the financial muscle to keep their part going smoothly even in this economy with all the Gretech stuff going on.
Don't really care too much about Oz coach. That guy really creeped me out.
If CJ was seriously considering disbanding, I think Coach Cho(of CJ) may have retired because he had problems with the sponsors. eSTRO disbanding, no surprise. Korean Air could be entering, interesting.
On September 03 2010 16:23 alffla wrote: ^ what did nalra say? (supernovamnaic's post)
Basically at 9:00 when Savior's mutalisks died easily to hyvaa's mutalisks (+ scourges on both sides), Nal_rA couldn't believe what he saw. You can see a change in his tone from 8:30~9:00.
Nal_rA started suspecting something wrong; Savior had many mutalisks compared to hyvaa, and about 5 times more scourge. With decent control, Savior should've won. He was also talking about how hyvaa could've stacked those mutalisks good, but was surprised that Savior lost that battle.
He started disbelieving his eyes due to Savior's BO advantage and mutalisk + scourge advantage.
When game ended, you can hear his disappointment. He believed that Savior was going to win easily at that situation. Near the end of the video, he states "I think we missed something huge, because Savior had more forces. I want to see the replay of that exact moment with slowest speed."
I'm starting to doubt that this match was not fixed once, but twice.
How did Savior know hyvaa's build? via Upmagic? And lol, it really looked like he threw the game away. If he didn't want to lose on purpose then his skills were really poor at that point.
On September 03 2010 16:36 ArvickHero wrote: I really doubt Yellow could even be a Match-fixer, he doesn't even win semi-regularly.. It's like Rock being a match-fixer -_-
Yeah I removed the additions, after confirming from the original IP since he didn't know what people were talking about. So the yellow/bisu/jaedong/july thing is fake ;p
Rumors and the timing of this post is bit suspicious. I don't believe this at all until there is significant proof from teams or KeSPA. (or rumors take action in terms of disbanding teams etc.)
Don't want to sound like those conspiracy theory people who think everything is one, but this is quite effective propaganda that plays for Blizzard/Gretechs pockets.
Also seeing guy says comment like:
I'll wait until the BW industry dies.... i'm scared hehehehehe
Is telling me its pretty much BS. If he is scared of telling more, its more likely he is making most up, and trying to brush up it via this comment. This also works if those rumors come true, he can just say "I said so". If they don't come true, its easy to stay on that comment and say that "I can't confirm etc cause I'm scared".
So in conclusion, I don't believe it till I see it.

He's scared cause koreans actually can get sued for comments on the internet and brought to court

it's a small country lol
Does Korean companies actually bring forth and sue these internet posters cause of rumors? If he is under NDA and have inside info that are true, then he surely have broken the deal and is getting sued already?
Oh well, I'll just listen the "dundunduuu musics" from Outer limits and think that its conspiracy by *insert weird government/agency* bring down KeSPA and e-sports cause they interfere with Teletubbies or something.
On September 03 2010 15:53 heyoka wrote: thanks gretech you killed starcraft and will then work as hard as you can to kill starcraft 2 hope you feel good in the morning
That's what you got from this? If anything, this post shows the dirty players themselves are killing StarCraft. Scapegoating without even reading?
Well it's all rumours, but i still more and more believe that bw is going to die even in Korea. With all this Kespa/Gretech BW vs SC2 bullshit going on. Seriously this situation is fucked up and it just makes people who love brood war sad. Well i guess if bw dies, it will be the final blow into my e-sports interest, cause i am really not interested in SC2 or any other game in sight. I mean come on even combat-ex is 1st platinum in that joke...

This . I won't believe anything until teams starts disbanding or proleague ends which i think will go on with the 2010 - 2011 season regardless of GOM or whatever .
I am so sad. I wanted to keep my 1000th post for something else, but I have to say I am terribly sad. BW is my greatest passion, what the fuck am I going to do if everything is over :'(
This is absolutely depressing. I knew Brood War was going to die, maybe slowly or quickly, but I knew it would. I just didn't think it would crumble like this. Hmm, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, I hope it won't end like this.
This actually looks too bad and unbelievable to be true. I suspect its just a rumor, nothing else. Maybe this guy is just a troll or, as exeexe said, attention whore. I'm waiting for some official info.
People shouldn't be so hasty rushing to conclusions. Those are only rumors from some unknown guy who might have an interest in BW crumbling. The timing looks quite a bit suspicious to me.

Or maybe just the fact we're witnessing probable bw death makes things look so unrealistic and distorted.
Considering the kind of figures I met when I was there, all this mega corruption could be very real and not limited to a handful of players.
Now Korean netizens are like n°1 world gossip community,so this anonymous revelation thing doesn't sound too crazy, as they love it so much.

no. Just no. Actually death of korean bw scene IS death of broodwar. The rest of the world is already clearly seems to be accepting SC2, and if the korean scene dies, there wont be anything, cause all international events will be SC2 and not BW. The korean scene is the last pillar that holds the attention and interest of the rest of the world, that keeps BW going elsewhere. It is a 10 year old game.

lol actually it's 12 years old , and all video games have a lifespan brood war is at the end of it's competitive lifespan but there will be players on bnet for many many years to come

What is happening to the BW scene, it's imploding!
A lot of things were edited since the first few posts. The Yellow drip was fake, he only brought it up because netizens asked him about it cause someone hacked and edited that into his original post
After the Free Agency saga and the way Oz treated Jaedong I have no problem with anyone in the upper management of Hwaseung quitting (or being fired).
All this guy knew was that Cho was on the way out. There's nothing in his post to make me believe he was fired. Until I see some solid evidence it's mere hear-say.
The only thing I'm concerned about is whether there will be a new season of Proleauge. Until reliable information otherwise I'm assuming there will be.
More fuel for the fire... What is going on these days? After a decade of stability, growth and good times e-sports looks in danger of going down the drain in a blink. What's happening to my baby?
no one seems to actually read but for those who don't know, the only thing the poster got right was that the Oz coach was quitting. the rest is unconfirmed and is most likely made up to take advantage of him knowing about coach cho's resignation. could be a blizz/gretech goon for all we know, i wouldn't be surprised if blizz pulled dirty tactics like that.
