Ret just turned on his stream btw. practicing some muta micro it seems!

Well im pretty sure that ret has thought about this over and over, but with the info I got at hand what I would do is:
If you can stay with Artosis for some more time, stay until TSL is over. Your chances there are good and you can practice just for it. If you get a top spot, you get quite a good amount of money to either come back if you feel burned out or keep playing some more time.
When is the next courage? in 1 or 2 months? Might have time to play one more time or maybe two while doing TSL.

I dunno about the Quake pro scene but I doubt they have that many young players challenging the older ones ... thus the old pros are still good after so many years I assume.

This. No offense to Ret but it seems like he is leaving because he has failed twice now and is giving up. Which, he isn't use to failure. People hyped him up so much that the community got him thinking that he should be good as flash in 2 months. Only if he didnt give up, he would be really good in time. Too bad. =[

ITW's advice sounds pretty solid, if ol' uncle artosis will let you stay. GL either way, ret.

what the fuck is with estro. This is the second fucking person they brought over then refused to practice with [idra]. And who the hell knows if they even helped Nony or not. What a piece of shit team, im an anti fan now, they can go fuck themselves.

Whoa, hold on a minute. Do you expect eSTRO to just give him a pro-gaming license? What has ret done so far to actually deserve it? Coming in to Korea, he was an unproven commodity. These two showings at courage (getting knocked out of the first round) certainly doesn't help his reputation. You have to realize there are many other korean amateurs who are more talented and younger than him. From this perspective, I don't expect eSTRO nor any other pro-gaming team to pick him up. You might as well hate them all.
It's great that pro-gaming is ret's dream, but the reality of it is that many fail and only a select few actually go on to fame and fortune. Being a foreigner in Korea already has inherent disadvantages. You don't know the language, culture, and living environment. Past a certain point, you really have to ask yourself whether this is the lifestyle you want to lead (especially if you aren't successful).

I'm still rooting for ret to do well, but maybe it's time to make the best of this, enjoy the time in Korea, and go back to the Netherlands with an interesting story to share. Wtf? Did you actually just decide to not fucking read the thread yet still run your mouth? Estro, for the second KNOWN time has not PRACTICED with their foreign players. They brought idra in, the players refused to practice with him, the coaches did nothing. They brought ret in, same deal. Who knows what happened to nony. This isnt a matter of estro not giving him his license, its a matter of them reneging on their obligations. They brought him onto the team as a practice partner so he could develop, get his license, etc. They have done nothing to actually help that. Bringing in foreigners is clearly nothing more than publicity stunt to them.
So again, fuck estro, and fuck anyone who defends them.

Didn't read the thread did you? People are unhappy because eSTRO players refused to even practice with Ret. We all know Ret has to earn his license.

Agreed, there are so many Koreans who fail on becoming pro-SC players ... it just makes it that much harder for ret to do so. I don't think TLers really fully realize how many FAILED progamers there are.
Edit: To the person above ... put yourself in an ESTRO player's position ... who wants to play against someone that might be cheating?
