Skt1 still costs the most, while stx dominated last season it's based on how many points they generated. stx won a lot, but they didn't get many 3-0s, which is where the big points are. skt got lots of 3-0s, which is what makes them more expensive. That's not entirely true.
In addition to their scores last round, the team prices are adjusted up or down depending on playoff performance. If you strictly went by last round, it would look something like this:
STX 8 KTF 6 SKT 6 CJE 4
But since STX performed poorly in playoffs, CJ performed great, and SKT won the whole thing, the prices were adjusted to this:
STX 6 KTF 5 SKT 8 CJE 6

How were players calculated then? It seems like a mix of their overall and R5 stats? Or were the playoffs a factor too?

Hahaha holy shit how did my all KT gimmick team get 9th place? I don't even have Luxury.
I guess the good anti team helps, regardless of Oz rolling peeps and giving lomo 2 points.

I did not know this. now I regret picking SKT
oh and week 1 was a disaster for me. my team went 6-4 overall, with two missed line up appearances. such mediocrity.

I mean, you looked, saw SKT @ 7 points, and still thought that was worth a pick, so obviously it was a good adjustment no?
im sure it was available to me but I just didn't go looking for it. I assumed it was based entirely on previous round performance. my mistake I guess
and SKT was 8 points this round, iirc.

At Blizzcon, some pros said that Hwaseung coaches boasted that they could make playoffs without using Jaedong for any aces in Round 1. I didn't think it was serious but LOL at what happened tonight hahahaha.
edit: GL JAEDONG OWNERS

[Mod edit: your comment is completely appropriate, so I edited it back in. Congrats! You are one of the 19 proud owners of Killer, the new Oz Ace]

Really, then 794 owners are going to be up in arms! At least KT is smart enough to use Flash in every Ace.

Anyone wanna take a crack at optimal team?

Cost - Player - Points 5 - Luxury - 8 2 - HiyA - 7 3 - Modesty - 6 2 - HoeJJa - 5 1 - FrOzean - 5 9 - Bisu - 7
5 - KT Rolster - 10
27 - Total - 48
There are a few ways to get 48 points, this way is just the most cost-effective. Switching calm with luxury, or hoejja with hwasin, for example, would still be 48 points. Also, if you take violet over bisu, there are other ways to add back 2 points with the 6 remaining points. Interestingly, even if you lose two points to gain 4 costpoints to distribute by taking perfectman over violet, there's no way to make up the loss of points.
edit: see next page for a 30 point team that earns 49, I was wrong.
There are a ton of possible anti-teams, not going to list them all.
