Because IMO the rules on anti team scoring were not clear enough when this began
First time doing this helps also xD

I don't know how so many people interpreted that to mean there's no "Team Win" points, when those points are very clearly listed there.

One word: Effort.
Like I stated before. I forgot to change my fun team after I saw the line-ups and I ended up with totally screwed team now, got 2 guys who's only goal is to get 1 points for their team winning. Also got their 2 teammates on AT which cancel them out etc. etc.

I got -5 for Sea winning an ace match when he wasn't even in the lineup. The same has happened for people who have Modesty on they anti-team. A bunch of the people in the top have Stork on their anti-team. They are just lucky as hell considering that Stork was a sure ACE.
it's only week 1. there's a shitload of good luck and bad luck floating around. everything will even out. yes, im talking to you KHAN, hite and woonjin users

Well you yourself said it, if so many people interpreted it wrong, it's probably because they weren't clear enough xD
Its our fault for not readying carefully enough? Yes. But I also think it could have been explained better. Some people aren't even that good at english so they need to read the stuff like 3 or 4 times to make sure they understand them (that includes me).
Not hating xd I think you are doing something pretty cool with this fantasy league.

Like in the live report threads, the OP writes every time "streams will be posted when available" yet every time there are dozens of people asking "stream??" "stream!?!?!" That doesn't mean that the live report threads are unclear or explained it wrong, just that people are lazy and don't pay attention.
I mean, the Main Team scoring clearly has "Your player's team wins: 1 point" there. I don't know how much clearer I can write it.

Im pretty sure people actually know the streams are going to be posted when avaliable, they just write that to make the poster hurry up or something. People are ebil like that xD

People are ebil like that xD You underestimate the number of people who don't read the OP carefully. Fantasy PL is relatively complex strategy wise if you're playing it for the first time. If you have to read it 3-4 times to play due to language issues, fine. How long does that take? Five minutes? There comes a point where the instructions become prohibitively long if we continue adding explanations of things.
Regardless, I think the rules are stated clearly enough and its your fault if you can't understand them because you are too lazy to read them. There are 1900 people playing and a few dozen complaining. If the rules weren't clear / unfair, we'd have a lot more complaints.
In fact, you could argue that reading and understanding the rules is a key aspect of being a good fantasy player. Bad players don't read carefully or thoroughly analyze the rules. Good players take the time to try and understand the point scoring before picking their team. Either way, if your Anti Team is scoring more than you thought, you deserve it because it's your own fault.

Really regretting not getting HiyA right now, but still in a good position for the first week. Nice to see a lot of the top FPL teams from last season up on top again. Looks like Dyno's got another killer team.

On October 14 2009 15:45 snarl wrote: Do prices go up and down based on performance, demand or both?
Just based on performance, here's a detailed explanation:
+ Show Spoiler [Trade Value formula & example] +Trade Value = ( P / (4.56 / 11)) / M * M/11 + C * (11 - M)/11 P = Player's points. M = number of matches played. C = Player's original cost 4.56 is the number of points a 1 point cost player is expected to score over the entire round 11 is the total number of matches each team plays in a round. (4.56 / 11 ~= .41) Basically, this is figuring out what a player's point cost would be given their current performance (ie someone scoring 4.56 points in one game would have a cost of 11) this is then weighted with their original cost; the weights are percentage of games played for the "new" cost and percentage of games left for the original cost. I hope this makes sense, if not feel free to ask questions. As an example let's say Leta (9 cost) plays in two matches the first week going 1-0 with a Team win in the first match and 2-0 in the second with an ace win and team win (4 pts 1st game, 9 pts 2nd game [3 wins * 2, 2 lineups * 1, 1 ace * 2, 2 team wins * 1, 1 Three Win Streak * 1]) = 13 pts for week 1 with two matches played out of 11 for the round: T = (13 / .41) / 2 * 2/11 + 9 * (11-2/11) T = 31.4 / 2 * 2/11 + 9 * 9/11 = ? T = 15.7 * 2/11 + 9 * 9/11 = (At this point we can see he has an estimated cost of 15.7 if he continues on this scoring trend whereas his original cost is 9--these are then weighted based on games played and games left) T = 2.85 + 7.4 Trade Value = 10.21 ( Leta's trade value at the end of week one with him scoring 13 pts over 2 games) Trade Value is directly comparable with a players original cost thus someone with a Trade Value of 9 is rated the same as a player that started at Cost 9. Adjusted Trade Value is what is used in the actual trade calculations and is simply Trade Value * Number of Games Left. Thus, Leta at 10.21 with 9 games left would have an Adjusted Trade Value of 91.89; say free plays one game in week 1 and his new trade value is 9.5 (just picked this randomly fyi), free with 10 games left would have an Adjusted Trade Value of 95. Notice how free's Adjusted Trade Value is higher than Leta's because he has the extra game left to score additional points in.
