Guess we know what sides we'll be on during the Effort vs Sangho match? I could try and trade Sea for some non-ace player. But MBC will be playing KT and SKT next week, no way they'll get that to/win an ace match, right? RIGHT? lol

Also, why on earth would anyone put The Messiahlisk on Anti-Team...? wait, why would you pick up yellow? he's doesn't even have 2 line up appearances.

and bogus is going to have how many? Especially with both hwasin and frozean to compete with. At least yarnc only has to compete with type-b, and has narrow ace match chances (especially with leta slump)

I'm thinking of trading Skyhigh for hyuk, even though the trade value difference is 0.85. Reason being skyhigh has no appearances and hyuk has 2; against stork and sea. I expect to win one of two games. How big is one week of points? Is it worth losing that much trade value? I guess if he wins, then I'm okay, but if he loses I'm screwed.

you're justifying your decision based on speculation. im of the opinion that trades should be made based on how many line up appearances the player has in the given week. it's almost impossible to predict who the coaches are gonna send out in the future. for example, mother flippin bisu isnt playing for skt in one of their games this week.
but yes, if bogus isnt playing this week trade him out.
edit:

trade skyhigh. hyuk is a good choice. don't put so much weight into what their trade values are. what you should be thinking is whether or not you will have more points overall if you do the trade. the trade values of the players aren't a measure of how many points they will deliver, they're a measure of how many points the player has delivered in the past.
and there's almost no doubt in my mind that not only will hyuk's value go up, but he will be in pretty much every SKT game in the future. he's performing well, and thezerg hasn't been. but again, it's almost impossible to predict. but i think the odds are in your favor here.
to be honest I don't understand why you picked up skyhigh in week 1, he didn't have 2 LA and didn't justify his cost.

Trading Violet for Luxury. I know this is gonna come back to haunt me, but Lux has more games lined up, is the favorite in both of them, and with the maps looking more and more zerg esque, I don't think they're going to take him out for Firefist/hoejja when they could just run a second zerg, whereas KT seems to be happy with the 1 protoss requirement.
Sigh, time for Lux to get roflstomped. =(
ForGG for Shuttle because the DreamKTteam isn't going to steam on forever. :>

sAviOr for Stats
Yay or nay?
I already traded GoRush for Yarnc as I expect Yarnc to produce more results in the long run, even though GoRush has two appearances this week.

If you missed out anything last week or forgot that you had a fantasy team, you can catch up with the week one summary or just read the interviews to look for some hints to victory.

ForGG for Shuttle - no, forgg will play for sure and his opponent is not that good, while stx can 3-0 ace - maybe next week this deal will be good.
sAviOr for Stats - yes, but you got to trade him after.

sAviOr has no games and CJ Entus has only one match which I predict they lose based on matchups. Stats has one game he should win and KT should win at least one match and send the other to ace (and probably win). A trade is -1 point.
Choose wisely.
Of course I have my own personal dilemmas:
1) Who to ditch from anti, Lomo or Sea? They're likely to both win. I can get better "value" for Lomo, but Sea's far more likely to pull ace duty. 2) Trade Light? Given the matchups, either Kal or Luxury look tempting. fantasy too, but I don't like him. Leta's TvT I don't trust atm. Luxury would be a huge gamble though, given both the point-cost loss if it doesn't work and the Luxury vs Light match.

Do that and you will always be trading down. If bogus loses both games (congratulations, you just gained no points) and yarnc wins his, I doubt you will still be able to make that trade at any time in the future. Yarnc is likely to generate far more points over this season than bogus. Any time that happens, you are trading up, and you should trade up whenever you can.
Bisu may only have one lineup appearance, but it would be beyond stupid to trade him for gorush (2 appearances). Look at who will generate more points over the season and trade up when you have the opportunity.

yay, but I think there are better trades such as type-b, go.go and frozean. Stats is impressive, but he did just come off a loss, and has to fight for a lineup spot against violet (and to an extent flash/forgg/luxury/815/firefist and even tempest for the 4th spot). It might just be an experiment during the early part of the season like OZ with killer. That said, I do think stats has a serious chance to break out, he just has to really fight for a roster spot as the season continues.
But you should always go for the trade you feel most secure with. If you feel more comfortable trading for stats than the alternatives, go for it.
--- agree with forgg->shuttle being a bad trade violet->luxury risky trade, but cant say its horrible for a light trade I really think fantasy is the only safe choice. SKT will get more team wins, fantasy will likely get more individual wins, and I think fantasy will in general earn more points. All the others have merits but are risky as well. Be careful of trading for lineup appearances; if the player loses you wont be able to trade your way back up.
--- In my opinion the currently most under-priced players: Kwanro (29.45) -0.73 Hiya (28.54) +1.17 fOrGG (26.04) -0.11 YellOw[ArnC] (24.06) -0.33 FireFist (18.67) +0.07 JangBi (18.18) -0.18 type-b (14.73) -0.36 Movie (11.31) +0.26

Just traded Effort to get Fantasy.
Fantasy should get 2 win + SKT win both match and having a SKT guys never hurt
|
i traded ZerO for Hyuk, since Hyuk will play twice and ZerO will play Only once and agains the Dong
i'm thinking about trading EffOrt for fantasy, and then trade them back after this week is over (and CJ play's twice next week), is it a good idea? I mean, is it possible to revert after this week is over?
|
its probably not possible to revert, but that doesnt mean its a terrible trade either
|
i belive EffOrt will do great this season, i guess i'll keep him (and he is the best one in my team, since coach cho decided to screw my fantasy team, lol). Thanks for the tips!
Some rant: + Show Spoiler +if i knew they weren't gonna use JD in every ace, i would had made my team differently (since 10 points is far too much compared to how many points JD can make if he only plays once in a team without many good players), but thats ok for my First time in TL and in fantasy

It's highly unlikely that the trade value would change enough for this to work. fantasy would have to win two games (and maybe throw an ace match in) and SK win twice, with EffOrt+CJ losing - and I'm still not sure it's possible. Trade value doesn't change very fast.

I'm not seeing fantasy as a keeper tbh - he's got nice MUs this week but on the whole his day-to-day TvT and TvZ are both suspect imo. Kal's my choice if I'm thinking longterm, but his PvP isn't always great... I'll probably just keep Light, he should win both matches anyway.
