I am not skilled enough to hack yeah i mean if youre a shitty player map hacks wont automatically make you A+ or whatever, they pretty much just give you an "edge" and you'll be able to easily win games against people of similar skill level. like if you're an average C foreigner with decent mechanics they'll make you C+ or B- probably..

So, a dilemma arises.
Some people admit they hacked in past. So we have some "in-the-past" hackers vs "fresh" ones. For the fresh ones TL has no tolerance, even if they apologize and promise never do it again.
After 2-3 months the fresh ones could be considered "in-the-past" hackers. Now a question: why do we treat them SO differently?
IMO to make it fair for everyone, we should treat them the same way 1 - not tolerate old ones or 2 - ban the new ones for like 90 days or so (and possibly mark them with an "H" flag).

I can really understand the frustration of people playing the game and losing over and over. But if the frustration is too big to handle, you should probably switch to funmaps or quit the game. Really makes me mad because maphack won't make you better-_-
Other players train their ass off to get good and figure out timing windows 'n stuff and faggot hackers just know everything. Burn in hell.

I cant understand what would possess a person to even 'try' hacking. if you download an exe that gives you an unfair advantage even just once you dont deserve to play starcraft.

... These days never, ever, ever existed. They did for me, at least I thought so when I was 12 years old and hadn't found tl yet. LOL.

I don't think the old days you're talking about ever existed.
yea there's WAY less hacking/drama/abuse/lameness/whatever now than before.. compare bnet ladder or wgtour with iccup and bnet ladder and wgtour end up looking like track and field during cold war.

haha i love arews idea of flagging users with a "HACKER" symbol or something on TL

we used to do that on WGT ^_^!

There's a difference between actively hacking in order to abuse pretty much the only competitive ladder available to most foreign players and having used a hack once in a totally casual setting.
Actually, no, not a difference, they are not alike in any way whatsoever.

ya flag the Hackers with an "X" mark or something! should do that on iCcup too.

Especially because his play level had not increased at all, his gameplay had remained consistant and completely unsuspicious, and the fact that I just honestly couldn't imagine a person like him being a hacker.
Also, we don't know who NrG.fLaSh[9] is, he certainly is not a member of our team..
And, what's funny about it anyway, if I may ask Xeris?

Welp Bob been nice working with ya for 20 years.... guess you shouldn't have smoked that doobie last night after all..... Except most likely Bob has been smoking that doobie every night for the past twenty years. If bob had been in fact smoking a doobie for every night for the past twenty years, it would only mean that it did not have much impact upon his duties at his job site, otherwise I doubt he would have made it to 20 years to begin with.
Also: lol at these mG. players. Ziph, you're talking? You're worse than any other mG. player, I would not be surprised if your C+ rec this season was given to you by someone else, or if yourself hacked. Insofar mG. only has 5-6 legitimately 'strong' players that I know of. So, finding a bad player/hacker in their midst is not such a big deal.

Arsis: we're not trying to convince you that we're good... we just had a pretty clean and legit record. Yes we all know Ziph's stats aren't his... he doesn't try to hide it. He's not trying to convince anyone he's better than he is... he just thought that he kept losing to stupid stuff at low ranks and wanted to try playing at higher ranks.

naruto
if a player needs too much games to get good (like you, but you arent good) and needs to train his ass off he should probably switch to funmaps or quit the game.

Ban and then if they were a decent forum member let them try and return with a new identity seems best.
