I love sleeping. It feels great. I mean really really great.
I love being in the intermediate state between sleeping and awake. I am aware, but I am not connected enough to the world to care about anything that's going on. That's what feels the most pleasant to me.
When I first wake up, I immediately want to go back to sleep. And so I do. I generally try to go back to sleep over and over until I eventually can't and that's when I finally get out of bed.
I like the feeling of being asleep/drifting to sleep so much that this morning I got up, did stuff for like an hour, and then proceeded to take a nap. During this nap I woke up like 4 different times, and just went back to sleep each time. It felt awesome.
Does anyone else think sleep kicks ass?

Funny, I had these exact thoughts a couple of days ago. It's really really nice. I enjoy it so much. I have alot of friends who ask; Don't you feel like you're wasting your life? On the contrary. As you well put it. Sleeping kicks fucking ass.
Also whenver I have some sort of problems I need to deal with, I almost instantly sleep on it, before taking any decision.
So yeah. I feel ya.

yes sleep rocks. Sometimes I feel like I might be wasting time, but then I remember just how good sleep is and nothing I could do being awake could be as good as that feeling a nice sleep gives.

Yes, I honestly wouldn't trade sleep for anything else, except maybe sex. My parents used to joke that sleep is the sweetest thing in the world and now I see just how right they were.
A good night's sleep is one of the pleasures of life everyone has access to :p

I'm weird. Every day at 2pm I feel like taking a nap and I work full time as well. So 2 to 4pm is very unproductive. But when I get home I would not feel like sleeping until say 3am and this fucks up my schedule as I have to wake up at 8am.
The past three weeks, I've averaged only 5 hours of sleep per night. Strangely I'm slowing becoming used to it.

Yeah sleep is awesome, but I find that it's way better to fall back asleep when you know that you gotta get up for work/school, than just sleeping in on a day off

Sleeping most def kicks ass, but I probably sleep too much, like 10-11 hours on average with 14-15 hours every now and then and the rare closing in on 20hours once a year maybe.

While I love sleeping, I hate going to sleep. Because really, I'd rather do other things then be unconscious. But once I'm sleeping, fuck everything else lol.

Your blogs about sleeping are so awesome travis. They capture the same feeling that I have when I sleep. To me it's a temporary stress relief from all the bullshit that I see/hear/think during the day. Then there's that magical feeling you have when you open your eyes but get pulled back into joy.
Indeed, sleeping does kick ass.

I know exactly what you mean, I went to bed around 1 am last night and got out now (1 pm) so I've been sleeping 12 hours..and I had the wildest dream, me and 4 others were teleported to some unknown huuge location in the midle of the ocean, with little island all around, some had old castles and shit on them, and we started exploring the place.
I remember comming to a barbed wire fence, with a sign made out of gold saying "Do do touch", as opposed to "do not touch" and I was freaked out..at the same time, I had music from my laptop on in the background, and I could hear all the music through the dream, so suddenly we started singing and shit...
It sounds pretty lame but it was fucking insane.

No. I believe time spent on sleeping can be put on more "productive" things. But, I agree that power-napping is a very good cheat out of those days you just have to wake up early for class.

I hate sleeping and think it's a waste of time. I try not to sleep more than 6-7 hours a night.
Sadly, I realized I feel better when sleeping longer, so I dont know what to do...

I think one of the best pleasures in the world is waking up and remembering some thing you have to do today (like class) and then looking at your clock and realizing you still have like 3 hours left to sleep. God I wish that happened every day.

Oh, I love this feeling. Noon class, wake up at 9 AM, look at clock and go "Oh, that's beautiful, almost 3 hours of more sleep". Proceed by going back to sleep. Oh so good. I love that feeling.

Better yet, you wake up at 9 AM thinking you are going late for class or school, but then realize that it's Saturday and go to sleep again, peacefully.

im actually kind of the opposite, i really enjoy sleep when i sleep, but i always stay up and want to get up to do stuff... sleep seems like such a waste of time when you could be having fun

I love to take pills that make me sleep. I love sleep. I love having a female to sleep with. Valerian root and melatonin are the shit. I'm a night person, so if i stay up passed 1am I can easily stay up. I'm not a morning person and don't enjoy eating breakfast.

Breakfast isnt the things you eat in the morning, it's the first meal of the day. So you can technically have breakfast whenever - 1300, 1900, 0400, etc.

I used to be the same way, but since I have a job and not enough time in the day to get things done, I can't ever get enough sleep. I spend too much time gaming so I only get like 5-6 hours a night too.
It's weird, even on my day off when my alarm isn't there to harass me I still wake up on low sleep.
I only have 1 day off , So I wanna make the best of it. Sleep is such a waste of time, Time is money.
