Yeah, I happened to watch a bit of it and it was extremely interesting and it made me realize how insignificant we our compared to the rest of the universe.
Also, in that documentary it said that the main reason why life might not exist is the fact that there has to be so much luck involved. An asteroid has to hit a planet that is the perfect distance from a sun, eventually creating life. Then the life form has to evolve to a complex being without the planet being hit by another asteroid; which would then destroy all life on that planet.
So basically how that documentary summed it up is we are trying to find a needle in a cosmic haystack lol.
