This is possibly the most amazing strategy ever invented, this is far more revolutionary than muta micro. Why didn't all those progamers think of this before? OP is a genius. From now on this is my only build zvp.

Would this work in TvZ as well? The SCVs mine a little slower than probes so it might not be as useful... however the SCVs have a bit more HP so it could still be viable... Let me go test it out

This is an excellent strategy until the C/C+ level. Mining your opponent's minerals will cause him to mine out faster, which in turn, forces him to expand earlier, giving you a window of opportunity in the mid/late game to kill him off. Chill's opinion is grossly misinformed. It is NEVER more efficient to mine your own minerals. The long travel distance can easily be compensated for by building a nexus in your opponent's base or natural.

We're all serious. This is a breakthrough. Everyone says it, and I'm going to say it again, SC is always evolving. Mineral steal is GG.

I think if you put two SCVs on your ramp before the probes reach your base, you can block it. (Repair each other --> probes stay out.) Good Protoss will just get concavity at the bottom of your ramp and mine your nat instead, though. Maybe you could wall-in the minerals with a good simcity?

At first I was like "no way this can work, lol nubs"... but then I tested it vs Garm Brood and I won, even though I'm not an experienced protoss player... The advantage I got from stealing his minerals was obvious after some minutes: he didn't even make a single zergling!

This seems like a great strat. I also watched the replay and was impressed by your late game multitasking and army control. That was some impressive 1a2a3a.

To be fair... he is playing Garm Brood in its weakest matchup. It's the tricky brood, but its macro was always suspect. Tiamat or Jormangund is best at ZvP.

Don't be silly. He is obviously lying, that was the Baelrog Brood. No one beats the Garm Brood.
