I just played my second game as Protoss on Iccup ever. Not knowing any builds, I decided to just build a bunch of Zealots and attack. However, in the spur of the moment a thought came to me; what if I bring probes along to steal minerals from him? Wouldn't that be swell? As you can witness in the epic replay added below, this move won me the game.

Oki, so this is how you do this build:
1. Mass Zealots from 2 Gates. 2. If the Zerg attacks, defend with Zealots. 3. Attack while bringing you probes along to steal his minerals. 4. Transition into the late-game. 5. Win
As you can see he became really poor after my raid (or maybe it was the 10 misplaced Sunkens) and was unable to summon an army sufficient to withstand my 1a2a3a.

You're funny Brace yourself for the imminent flames.

rofl i want to see somebody 2 gate a zerg while simultaneously making a nexus in there nat

LOL I'm not sure whether to take this post seriously or not.

I thought ICCUP had a rule against mining your opponent's minerals? That's just abusive. They might run out of minerals.

yes, i've heard of this as well. you also can't gas steal them and then send workers to long distance gas mine from your gas steal (assuming he's kind enough to not kill it). i mean, if they run out of gas, then the game's no fun anymore is it?

But then you'd run out of minerals sooner yourself.

No, this guide is 100% the best strategy to ever use in a game. It's a guaranteed win, especially in the early game, and if you somehow don't secure the win, you should look to the guide on Observers vs Scouts, to see what your best scouting options are (hint: It's the Scout).
|
Well, this kind of strategies is not uncommon in other games (Red Alert comes to mind).

If you are mining his minerals, then he can't mine his minerals. Win-win.
OP = revolutionary?
