What would you say the current iccup level is as in comparison to the last few weeks of the previous season?

Like for example personally i think C- is like last season's B- as of now. And D+ is prob like C level of last season.. Like for some of my games i'd think i macroed perfectly but still lose... and end up wondering... "wtf?"

yes i'm aware as time pass it'll get easier ;o.

What are your thoughts.

Last season I was low C level, this season low D+.

Tho this season I play a lot more TvZ, which is my weaker matchup.

this is just because the new season started few weeks ago, wait til its like 2 months in and there will be a lot more players

yeah im not even playing until like, school and exams are over. Then I'm going to play like mad. I assume its true for a lot of people at my level- too busy/dodging the great players. So it seems harder.

I think your guesses are about right. C ~ D+ right now. I'm still at D+ but most of the players I play are C's. I think it's already getting easier though, cause I've met quite a few C- players at D+.

I'm pretty much exactly 1k points lower than last season. It's not too bad, because I'm used to losing a ton of games anyway, it's just that I always lose very convincingly right now instead.

Yea GS I think those projections were a bit extreme. It is true to a certain extent though but it's always like that at the start of the season. And as more people play ICCUP every season (I assume that's the trend) that means there are that many more good people starting at 1000pts like everyone else.

Last season in 2v2s I went 38-17, This season I'm 23-20. It makes sense because I played all those games the last week of last season, when the lower ranks have the worst players.

Iunno I've played a lot of newbs / seen reps of teammates vs a lot of newbs at D/D+. You guys just unlucky maybe. Do you check previous seasons highs?

It's misleading to say "C- right now is B- last season", as if achieving C- now somehow puts you at the level of B-.

What is true (looking at my own matchlist) is that a lot of people I've played at C- were C/C+/B- high last season. Which is not surprising. It's really nice to be able to play higher ranks though, I have managed to win long games off C+/B- players despite my high rank only being C.
