I donno whats up with my cpu these days - but my firefox is taking a shitload of memory from my cpu
it's like over 500k and using up 70+ of my cpu which causes my explorer.exe to crash and restart from time to time, and when I'm browsing - it freezes up for like 5 secs, every 5 minutes. And downloads are slow as shit!
I tried clear private data in the tools tab but that did jack shit - even with the offline data and cookies erased.
I'm a big nub at figuring these things out so anyone know what the problem is?
I'm thinking of doing a scan of my computer soon enough, maybe thats whats wrong 
would be much appreciated.

I had the same problem with FF, it took a long time open, dl's were pretty slow and I used a lot of my memory. Couldn't be arsed to find a way to fix it so I switched to Google Chrome.

actually tbh i think safari is pretty low ram but its kind of ewwww

Try running Firefox in safe mode to narrow things down a bit. You can find it under Start -> Programs -> Mozilla Firefox.

Chrome from my experience is just as (or even more) memory intensive, I'd recommend using Opera if you really need memory.

yeah that link/chart is full of shit
here's me comparing, 6 tabs open, no flash video playing, for about an hour or two. the second one is after clicking ONE link and letting a flash video load (in this case it was http://digg.com/d1qNhf)
yeah, firefox sucks. yet i'm still using it, i must be retarded. chrome is pretty bad too though so whatever
oh yeah and my list of addons is ABP, chatzilla, DTA, noscript, dyyno, SU, tinymenu and JQS. pretty standard, nothing even fancy.
