I interviewed this girl for a position, and then when we rejected her she called me, crying, and told me she hated me (wtf?)
I'm scared, apparently her family is involved in the HK triads. Fuck. Do girls hold grudges?

EDIT #2: Eh, just a little background on this girl--she's from the same college as I am, two years younger, I found out she was involved in triad stuff a long time ago (like when I was a junior in college).
She's hyperambitious even though her family is rich as hell (and believe me, my friends tell me her family owns entire fucking apartment blocks in HK).
What hurts tho is we were (kind of) friends before this, but now she blocked me IM, FB... won't answer my calls, etc.
EDIT #3: Flew back to see some younger college friends and tried to take her out for dim sum; she refused but her fridge was empty so I ordered some shui jing xia jiao (crystal shrimp dumpling? dkno how to say it) which is her favorite food and left them with her when we got back from dim sum. hopefully she's ok now...
EDIT #4: She's ok now--just sent me an email thanking me for all my guidance, etc. Apparently she found a job with another bank, so I guess her emotions are ok now. Still, with an attitude like that I doubt she'll do well there... eh, w/e not my problem now.

On another note, what kind of question is that? Have you had no interraction with girls until now?
And secondly, the best part about most of the girls is that when they're under really strong emotional pressure, they tend to say things (in anger) they don't really mean, but they believe it momentarily. It's a little worse than with guys, on your mediocre stereotypical situation.

Girls dont hold grudges as much as men do. Any grudge a female may have is likely to randomly dissipate at any point of time depending on her emotional flow. Time erodes on the grudges of females much faster than on those of men.

Girls trust their feelings more than they trust logic. If you want to get on good terms with her make her feel good instead of trying to reason with her.
Or in other words, lie to her and say that it were not your decision to not hire her, tell her that she is the best and that she would probably end up with a better job anyway etc. Thats how girls handle these things among themselves.

Long answer: Girls are fickle. You can expect a girl to act like you've destroyed her life for a 3 days, and then be completely over it. Rekrul's advice is pretty good. But they aren't going to come back running and apologising unless you're either attractive, have lots of money, and/or are in some way extremely above average valuable (in their view, ofc). They're just sort of going to pretend everything is normal, and hope you do too.
