This is true even before you consider that the season gets easier as it progresses. If your goal is to raise your rank very quickly, then it's understandable to get nervous once your rank gets high, but if you are just doing ladder to see how high you go in general, then going down is a part of going up, and is perfectly ok. Just don't race to get to B in the last week of the season. hm.. I've actually felt similar fear as the OP, and i think this mindset is actually very good... o,o Lmao GS, no it isn't. I can recall two-three seasons where you hit C- then stopped, following season did the same at C and you'll probably do it again at C+ this season. Stop the madness. I have no idea how what you just said showed that the mindset isn't good...

Just put it inside your head that if you don't practice you'll never improve. When you're afraid to play just think about how much better player you could be if you weren't afraid. That should motivate you ^^

Yeah I agree my post made little sense.
I guess if it's what you want, you cannot argue that the mindset is negative. Yet, I would say that it's a disadvantage to always worry about losing.

I have a similar problem as like the OP but its completely different but I just dont play Iccup as good as I usually do in hamachi/offline/bnet for some reason Tch. I said it in my blog months ago but nobody noticed. Glad people appreciate my wisdom... eventually.

I wish I was a B player, because I would take advantage of that and try to play all the greats like Brat Ok, Strelok, Mondragon, JF, Nony, ret, Cloud, Horror, White Ra. And all those other great foreigners.
Man, It would be awesome to be at least semi close to that level.

I like to play starcraft, and to play against people. But I have a very big opponent, and it's myself. I play bw to improve so I always try to play the maximum games possible. However, whenever I have a good nick with good stats or I begin to rise in ranks I don't play anymore. I have fear in losing points that I have done a huge effort to gain and I always end playing just the minimum to be C/C+ and I have time to be more than that, but I don't have guts.
Any of you have had this problem and have resolved it? Yes I have had the problem, No I still haven't resolved it >_<

I have the exact same problem, so i switched to dota.

I am exactly like the op.
Every season I get 4 accounts to c+ with 60-65% win ratio's and quit playing on all of them but one. Then I get one to b-. Call it a good season and quit.
I have huge trouble accepting a 50% winrate at b-. I haven't overcome it,but I just got 2 accounts to C one to C+ and one is c-. I think I'm going to play the c+ one until I get B.
Although the c- one is for korean hours when C/C+ users of all races beat me 50% or more t.t

I have it worse. I don't play iCCup at all for fear of losing. I'm 2-0 this season.
