Soooo it all started this morning when I woke up, I went to the bathroom, took a piss, washed my hands, then started to put in my contact lenses. After washing my hands I accidently left the tap on. All was going well as I put my left contact in, then as going for the right one... OH NO! It fell into the sink and got washed down the drain! I am in the process of ordering more contacts but they won't arrive till wednesday(6 days), so I have three choices now: a) wear the left one by itself (updated prescription) b) wear my 2-3 year old glasses (quite outdated prescription) c) wear neither? is it bad for my eyes to pick a) or b)?
Poll: Choice A,B , or C? (Vote): Wear the left contact by itself (Vote): Wear the glasses (Vote): Wear neither, wait till wednesday What do I pick? =S Is it really bad for my eyes to the point where I shouldnt pick A or B?? EDIT: I can see a little clearer with my one contact lense than my 2-3 year old outdated glasses and they make me dizzy because I haven't worn them in so long.

A, but idk much about eyewear for that matter, maybe it could worsen your eyesight on your right eye
Go to the optometrist or w/e its called and ask him
|
wear the left contactlense and fix up an eyepatch for your right eye.
|
Unless you want to walk around like popeye stop being a faget and where your glasses. I know the feeling of using really old glasses perscription too.. that shit kind of sucks, lol. My glasses are a couple years behind my contacts, which are 2 years old.
No matter what you pick, it kind of sucks, = [
Also, you didn't think of ordering more contacts etc. after you realized that you're on your last set? Lol, when I order my contacts I always get a yearly supply of the most inexpensive uncomfortable contacts ever. (except I usually wear each 1 month pair for 3+ months, I don't really feel any discomfort if you stab me in the eyes, they are made of iron. So my "yearly" order usually lasts 2 or 3 years ' -'a!)

I'd wear the glasses, unless it is not any more help than wearing nothing at all to you.

No matter what you pick, it kind of sucks, = [ I don't want to not wear my glasses because they are 'ugly' or anything. TBH I can probably see better with my one contact lense than I can with my 2-3 year old glasses, as I said the prescription is quite outdated.

This happened to me about a month ago. I wore the glasses. Not a hard decision.
|
wearing one contact lens drives me crazy... soo blurry. go w/ the glasses.
|
let me repeat myself here, contactlense + eyepatch.
|
glasses obvious choice...
|
wear sunglasses and pretend you're blind.. except you're not
or contact lense + eye patch
how bad are your eyes? # degrees?
|
I'd probably go with the contact lens. I know how bad wearing an old prescription can get. It helps, but everything is still a bit blurry and disorienting. Not worth the hassle.

Hmm.... I've tried wearing the glasses and the one contact and right now I'm preferring the contact: - Old prescriptions make your eyes worse - I get a headache when I put on my old glasses because I haven't worn them for so long - Even with the glasses It's hard to make out words and small objects - After I get my new contact lenses I would have to re-adjust to contacts AGAIN after having worn my glasses - 8539723 people are going to be asking me why I'm wearing glasses again every day.
Either way these next 6 days are going to be some of the longest 6 days of my life T_T

It's hard to play SC no matter what I pick, I felt so disoriented playing a game of SC on iCCup it took me like 10 seconds to split my workers properly D:< EDIT: And then I got owned by some korean terran.

I'm so glad that I don't have to use glasses or contact lenses ;p
|
good thing is that even if you wear old glasses your vision is not going to go worse, just wear one contact lenses and get something to cover your another eye. You can always say that you popped out one of your eye, makes your image tougher.

I'm pro eye-patch as well.
- Old prescriptions make your eyes worse No, your eyes get more dependant the stronger your prescription. An old prescription won't hurt at all.
- I get a headache when I put on my old glasses because I haven't worn them for so long Fair enough.
- Even with the glasses It's hard to make out words and small objects Fair enough.
- After I get my new contact lenses I would have to re-adjust to contacts AGAIN after having worn my glasses Pretty doubtful.
- 8539723 people are going to be asking me why I'm wearing glasses again every day. No one will care. A friend you talk to all the time might comment, and you'll say "I have to wait a few days to get my new contacts." How painful?
- Eye patches are super bad ass, and I'll get to keep using my regular contact Yes, do this.
|
Alright so I currently have a homemade "eyepatch" on consisting of 1 black sock, and 2 elastic bands holding it on my face. I'm well on my way to being a super bad ass now I guess I will hopefully be able to stop by the dollar store or something tommorow to buy an actual eyepatch.

Uh... you're assuming his eyes are getting worse. This isn't always the case, I know my prescription got weaker after like 5 years of wearing glasses.
