I figured you would tolerate a similar degree of randomness in the reply, but apparently you had a problem with it, and I thought I might point out that my post wasn't as worthless as I thought you perceived it to be (relative to your own post).
More related to the OP: I've so far seen about 5 girls who play games seriously, and none of them were bitchy or whiny. They were very good teammates, but then again I don't choose teammates who aren't. Other than being female, they were not particularly special in any aspect, good or bad.
On the other hand, I've seen many females who will play games casually. I've seen no correlation between them and "bitchiness." Meh.
Sorry I didn't see your post as random, but as rude. I might of been wrong, and if I was I apologize.
I see you've had good experiences with female gamers, while I've had pretty terrible ones in my opinion.

It's not that I'm sexist or anything, but I feel like they like the WHOLE ATTENTION.
You know what I mean. Tons of Youtubers groveling over their every word, offering to marry them, and basically treat them like queens.
I don't get all the hype.
I wouldn't really care if my girlfriend likes video games. She does like video games, but I'm not obsessively happy about it.
It's more than a plus than a necessity.
I really don't know why I'm writing this, but like I said they annoy me. + Show Spoiler +

I understand your point, but I think you can convey it a bit better. The title is "Girls who play videogames" and the first thing you say is "piss me off." Then you say you are aren't sexist.
Let's compare that to another case. "Black people who play videogames piss me off." Is that racist? "Fat people who play videogames piss me off."
Unless you are confident that just about 100% of gamer girls are exactly as you describe, then it's a sexist comment. But it's pretty clear what you mean so I don't think anyone will get too offended.
I like that you spend most of the OP complaining about the people who create this ridiculous situation (the guys who get excited over girls on the internet) because that really is worth discussing... but just be clear that the only girls that give you a problem are the ones who intentionally attention whore. My sister is a gamer and actually took a game from me in tekken once, and yet she's never done any of this stupid stuff you've been criticizing! I think it's a smaller percentage than most people realize.
You always have good point. Thanks for the reply. I know I should of worded it better, and I apologize for that.
I have female cousins who have taken a game of me in Halo 3, and like I said my girlfriend plays game occasionally.
I don't hate girl gamers. I just hate girl gamers who do it for the ATTENTION, so basically like someone pointed out I HATE ATTENTION WHORES.
I'm sorry that most of my experience with girl gamers have been bad ones, hopefully it get's better.

Doesn't mean I don't enjoy their company as friends. You''l always be special :p Speaking of which I've got some stuff for you... shoot me a PM or catch me online sometime.
Hey, the third video wasn't just about showing her vagina. Those reviews of hers were actually pretty entertaining even if she's a little... eccentric.
theyre kinda like girls who post in teamliquid. except tl has experienced this ish enough that those girls dont last long in here.
attention whores.
theres a great majority of girls who pretend to be guys or hide their genders online (especially when theres voice chat involved). so really there are more girls who play than people tend to realize. thus, with more girls, u get more variety, and unfortunately, there is also a great majority of the girls who get attention for being the 'unique' non-hiding gender type and revel in it because the stereotype enforces that these females are rare.
i hate this topic. girls dont exist in the video game realm.

I hope the Frag Dolls get run over by a bus.
Ubi made them that way. Although some of them really are attention whores, the others really do it for fun and money. Don't hate on seppuku. She's the nicest and most genuine one among them all.

ok i read the thread. its the attention whoring that is annoying.
about the old jokes and such. ive dealt with this crap for too long i've pretty much given up and gone along with the stereotypes. i hit on girl gamers and ask for their pictures. i do keep saying girls dont exist in video games. i do these half-heartedly and i know most guys do too. when a guy hits on me i know there is nothing serious about it its just sort of automatic and instinctual because its sort of a learned behavior. kinda like when someone says whats up and you automatically say not much. or say good automatically when someone says how are you doing. when someone says im a girl, auto response is something like 'pics or u lie' or 'asl'.
it IS old. gamer girl as a topic is old. hitting on gamer girls is old. hating on those who hit on gamer girls is old. hitting on gamer girls to get hated on is old. hating on hitting on gamer girls to get hated on is old. but you know what, people just do. -_- why? maybe cuz they're bored. i dont like how i was drawn to this thread because it had 'gamer girl' in the title because those topics are old but i still went anyway even if i just saw the same old comments i always see. its kinda like those religion topics u cant help but join in even if there is no end to it.

lol. sctactics.. back in the old days when i first started getting into the admin/press side of starcraft.. that site was built out of ppl who were banned from sclegacy or something like that. it was formed without me but i was good friends with one of the guys and i became an admin along with another dude. but the dude turned out to be a douchebag powertripper who took over and made the site suck so i stopped supporting it. it was one of those things where a group was formed and i was an outsider and i never really fit in cuz they were all douchebags (except smaq). that site was nowhere near being built around me. i just know i used sctactics to get myself a press pass at wcg 04 and i told the officials that a bunch of my friends worked for the same site so they could get press passes as well.
Yea dude wtf, girls are fucking BAD at video games, any girl who really seems to be enjoying playing video games is faking it, and sucking at it at the same time. For some reason they just like the video game guys that go with 9no shit) video games...
Like when girls pretend to want to learn to play starcraft. They have no interest in it, its just for you .. Not to mention they cant possibly learn how to play it in less than 5 years.
I don't care except when you assume people are male and use the pronoun "he" and someone pipes up "I'M A GIRL YOU IDIOT!!" A simple "*she" would have sufficed, and why is it so important anyway?
I know plenty of girls who play video games... But not enough that play online video games to make me say "he or she" in game 50 million times when it's really not obvious either way... Maybe if your name wasn't DragonLord9000 I might think otherwise.

zomg, you're a chick? a/s/l?
<3 i skimmed thru this blog too - i agree with ya on the attention whore thing. dont hate on the girls who love gaming but the ones who blatantly brag about it.
I play counter-strike (1.6 not the gay source version) sometimes with girls sometimes in our team of 5. Some of the ones I play with are very strong and are hilarious when they spazz out when they are getting owned 4vs1.
You know it really IS annoying when some "girl" (who knows, it may be like another zia) just relentlessly advertises the fact that she(?) is a girl. Do black gamers call themselves "blackpanther" or "net-Jamal" or "nigg4" ? Hell no! Does every Asian make a reference to that he is asian in his name? No! In fact, when you consider the Asians who are over 12-13 you will find virtually no "vietkilla"s or "aznboi"s. But with "girls" it's often a name containing sexual references (in both meanings of the word) and it doesn't stop there! They may further inform you that you got beaten by a girl or that you should go easy on them because they're a girl.
Why do they do this? Hell if I know. But it sure makes me suspect that I'm actually dealing with a guy posing as a girl. On the other hand though, I don't care. Much like many other gamers, I play games to have fun and compete; neither of these requires knowing anybody's sex.
