 I have never tried to create a clan mostly because most of my friends dont want to be in a clan / are already in a clan. no.9) was my first and probably only clan ( my East /f l is almost dead and my Europe /f l is filled with inactives / oldschools who still keep their 10 years old clan tag / Ums players ). This suck  .I wanted to join (OD) but you need to be really active to be recruited and i enjoy way less the game atm + i play poker so i'm not really active. no.9) was awesome there were some really cool guys. Too bad the hacker leader ruined it.... T-T | ||

There were also really only 2 good Q3 players (including me) and we already had a "real" clan. The rest were almost complete noobs. We also played a bit StarCraft but I was the only "good" one there and they somehow enjoyed raping me 3v1 or 4v1 ("hey we're all noobs you should win this" - yeah sure). They were indeed noobs though and I managed to win all 1v2s. But it's incredible how much stronger they get when it's just 1 more.  Eventually the whole thing died though (in around 2003/2004), because people stopped playing/caring and we've also lost contact to some. While it lasted, it was fun though. Oh and in 1998 when I started out with SC I was in a very tiny clan too for like 2 weeks, I helped build it up a bit... it grew quite a bit as I got to know later on, it still seemed to exist in 2005 which surprised me. I left after 2 weeks though because I got to know the ages and personalities of the others a bit... the oldest one was 14. The rest was between 11 and 14. I was like "wtf" and left. :> | ||

Was the leader, set up cws and me and two other buddies played games with each other. Eventually, I thought I could put the responsibility of the clan into one of the bot holders for a week, and then for some fucking reason, everyone left and moved to another clan thinking that I had died or something. FUCKHEAD, but I stayed in touch with two of them ever since, the better players of the lot I might add, and we've been good bw friends since, sort of. Never thought about starting a clan again, too much maintenance, little practice time, better to collaborate with others than start your own, get some good bw friends with the same skill level as you and manner, so you won't have to run into conflicts later on. (IE, I'm better than you, stfu, I am the leader, or why don't we merge with this clan?) Remember its all about your team identity, if your an east piece of shit, it will show with just one member. And also, quality > quantity always, even if it takes time, loyal,skillful members will always go the distance and it will be a great experience for all. O yeah, don't do the "trial member" bullshit where you give them a tag for a few weeks saying how lower and shitty you are, chances are, they won't improve, and they'll have no motivation to unless you kick them in the ass and tell them to get better. Be honest, but not so far as personal insults, its good for them. | ||
