The problem ive been having today with my computer is that the CPU usage is constantly at 100% and is extremely laggy all the time. Usualy while playing sc i have Itunes open playing music, Of course BW, and msn. At the beginning of today i could play sc normaly with no lag, with that same configuration, but i couldnt actualy have music PLAYING, while in a game of sc or it would cause massive lag.
It somehow got worse and now i can even play sc with nothing open or it will lag. Its not my internet i dont think or else the playing music wouldnt effect it right? So it must be my computer.
After restarting my computer and having nothing open but the essentials, my computer is still at 100% CPU usage.... opening the internet browser to come to tl.net took me a total of about 15 mins, it usualy takes 15 seconds at most. I ran a adware scan earlyer in the day and it found 3 privacy infections, which i easily cleaned up.
Right now im running a Norton anti-virus scan, but instead of scanning super fast liek it usualy does (100 files every liek 2 seconds) its scanning super super slow (1 file a second). Im just wondering how the fuck does this shit happen, my comp was fine one day and the next completly fucked up. Any ideas on how to fix this? plzzzzzz helpppp

saying norton anti-virus is doing 1 file a second is a little generouse its been doing 1 file every 3 mins for a few mins now

Maybe try R1CH's CPU savior thing. I thought thath elped with this type of problem, or am I way off? A little lazy to search for it at the moment but give me a second.

get more RAM, preferably 2gigs, or maybe its time for an upgrade all together. Or its not hardware?

Ok my computer is running smoothly now, but im still haveing one unusual problem, that ive had for the 1st time ever today. I can play sc fine when i have Itunes open, but it lags soooooo fucking much, if im playing MUSIC OUT OF ITUNES. Music off = no lag, music on = Lag, Itunes always open. WtF? **EDIT** In channel if i have music on, it doesnt lag at all.

I tried to use winamp also since it takes less system recources, but im getting the same problem, is it possible i need to update my audio driver?
It could be hardware, i dont think my computer is that bad, 1 gig of RAM currently, but i think the shittiest hardware component is the 1.6 GHZ proccesor, which is complete shittttt.

If you're getting 100% CPU when not playing BW, you have some broken / malicious process. Use task manager and sort by CPU time to figure out what it is. If nothing seems to be obvious, use the graph view and use view / show kernel times and see if your CPU usage is all red (kernel) or green (user) CPU. High kernel CPU use would point towards a bad driver or hardware issue.

need more ram. and maybe your computer is overheating.. that could make your comp go slower .
