i just kinda thought balancing items is kinda cool. By that, i mean balancing a ruler vertically on a table, or balancing a four-legged chair on three legs.
I've only spent time balancing things about 3 times, the first being a wooden ruler at school (which i was very proud of).
My most recent balancing act came when i was lying on my bed with my knees up. I had been playing my ukulele ("playing" being randomly striking chords) and i couldn't be bothered anymore. I don't like putting it on the floor and i couldn't put it back on the windowsil as i would of had to bent upwards, so i decided to place it on my left knee. It kept slipping down my leg but i kept nudging it gently to find a 50-50 ratio and after a few minutes, i finally did it! It was fucking awesome, because the headstock is heavier than the body, it was at a downwards angle, yet perfectly balanced. It was actually pretty cool.
So when you're bored citizens of TL, grab your nearest object and try to balance it, it is surprising fun.

...do you not have anything better to do than balancing ukuleles?

balancing a four-legged chair on three legs. O_O It might be fun if you have balancing talents! For me its just irritating!

i just tried to balance a defiler and failed.

When I was in school I used to constantly lean on the back two legs of the chairs, we had competitions to see who could keep it going the longest. Other than that I generally don't balance things lol

some kid in our high school used to balance bikes and other random shit on his chin and he participated in some TV talent show with it. He failed horribly afaik.

We did that too. Until a guy in the other class fell backwards and cracked his brains open :[

balancing is a way of life. You could balance for five seconds, you could balance for five minutes, but sooner or later, it will crumble and fall (or crack your brains open)

I like balancing things that are rigged to be easy to balance, but look difficult to balance.

I guess you have to actually see it happen or have it happen to someone you know to actually take it onboard

I once balanced every chair in this room at my high school on two legs when I was alone in it.
Class started, everyone walked in, and their faces were pretty much o_O.
Only porlbem was that many of the chairs were tipped over by them. I laughed my ass off, though.

I balance things rather often... like full or empty bottles, pencils, umbrellas, etc. and I always lean on the last 2 legs of the chair.
try balancing a full bottle of 2l coke upside down! or a short wood log. on any one of your fingers. though the most epic balance is from on the mini finger or the thumb.
the shorter and heavier the item you try to balance is, the harder it is to balance, becouse once it leans too much on one side, it's hard to reverse it's momentum.

Uhhh, aren't shorter and heavier items easier to balance. If my understanding of physics serves me correctly something that is heavy and tall is easier to tip over than something that is heavy and short? Hence why trucks/buses roll alot more often than F1 cars, which have a wide base of support and a low centre of gravity.
