Uh, nowhere in their rants do they say Terran is noob friendly. They complain about Terran play at high levels.
Protoss is noob friendly.

He's not trying to start an argument, he's pointing out the truth. You were complaining about repeatedly losing to the same strat, therefore you need to practice more.

Ask teamliquid for some help, post some replays and ask for advice on how to counter said protoss builds, I'm sure there are lots of people with the same struggles, so you won't only be helping yourself out, but other said people as well.

A general tip is to scout more/ maybe earlier, and defend a bit more liberally, because you can win in the mid game, if they are just playing for the all in.

Since you said carriers. . . Im gonna assume PvT, Get your academy relatively fast, and scan his base just to keep an eye out for carriers; you learn where is a good place to scan after a few games. A mid game drop is pretty viable, and it let's you see his tech that way as well, if you're not confortable with scanners; Also i think it's common for people to hotkey their scanners to 9,0.

Perhaps you need to change your style, it seems you are turtling and toss is just taking advantage of that, try going for a 6fact timing push then expanding, or something? just to test the waters; obviously if toss went carriers, you'll win because of his lack of ground units

I play Z. I got steamrolled by a toss that went 3gate archon, because he kept only 2 zlots and 1 goon covering ramp, so i suspected either a sair reaver or storm's etc. Not once did it occur to me that he was actually preparing for an all in. I lost. It was frustrating, but i knew what i had done wrong, and now i have another mindset to work with.

+ Show Spoiler +
I asked him for re and after a couple of failed proxy 2 gate attempts he tried to play straight up, and now we're 3-1 :D

All starcraft races are balanced. There is no "newb" friendly aspect of any race, sure zealots are very easy to handle have lots of hp, so are tanks, so are ultralisks. Just keep an open mind and try to understand why you lost, rather than blame something else.

I wonder why everyone plays P too, I know it's because they're "n00b" friendly supposedly, but I'm actually nearly as good with Terran, and I decided to play Protoss in 1999 when I was a little kid. Of course I found out about progaming about 1 year ago, and just picked up with the same race so I'm 20 times better than I was then.

But if I just found out about the game now, I'm not sure I'd pick Protoss. I hate being "unoriginal" but I also really like the race ... sorry everyone for adding to the problem!

A good thing to do is to learn how to micro golaiths. Most Protoss tend to do a combined attack involving carriers, DTs, Zeals, and maybe maybe maybe some HTs mixed in with like 3 goons. Forget tanks, just make Vultures and Gols, and +3 Gols will rape the carriers. Flank the carriers, do the move-and-shoot micro, scan a lot, emp the carriers, and gg

Toss is easiest race because it's the easiest to macro and micro. Terran armies have a lot of things to do - siege, lay mines, stim, scan, etc. Zerg armies are very large and involve swarm, burrow, etc. Protoss suffers from neither of those, and the only thing their army needs to do is storm. (Well, build scarabs/interceptors, but that's easy spamming). It does not need to worry about building depots as much as Terran, for workers can build all at once and Protoss units don't build as fast. Nor does it have the problem of balancing military unit production and workers like Zerg.

fuck carriers man, steam roll them with pure land~~ BE A MAN~~~~~

flank terran army as they come out with goons/zlots/temps and watch metal melt~~~

but yeah, originally a toss user but have been playing terran more. PvP gets old at times, it is fun to play other matchups.

it's so funny when you finally get to play a non toss opponent and then mechanically start playing your game and build orders as you would vs toss. then scouting peon enters and you're like "WTF?? SHIT!"

i had the same feelings of boredom and frustration but decided to get over it and use it to my benefit. i'm actually sooo much better vs toss now because i've been mass playing against P

But really, if you're terran and you play TvP like 5 games in a row, it gets boring T_T, most TvP's are 13mins+.... Unless you do an BBS or something... I've done some weird BO's and cheeses to toss's and they always complained at the end of the game more than any other race of zergs or terran when i gay them :x..

most of my games were around 20-25 minutes which is not that long really. a tvz vs a competent zerg should not last any less in a standard game scenario. and I don't feel you need a comment on an average TvT game length...

aditionally, if you still find it tiring you can adopt and start developing a more aggressive style based on 1 base aggressive strategies or fast expo timing pushes with natural. the game itself should never bore you if you're in a constant effort of fine tuning builds and getting down your timings to perfection. you can either succeed and reach a higher level or fall back to fine tuning until you are convinced that you're doing just doesn't work, so you begin trying new stuff

seriously, I feel that most players are not trying as much as they should and fall in the trap of whining about everything. from not being able to get a coach, to gay opponents or even game imbalance. man up guys. this is fucking war

sooo true.
im a noob so i can judge this . i find protoss definitly the easiest race to play, at least on the low level im playing. u have to worry about so much less than with the other races. scouting: pay 75 vespin and get an area of your choive revealed for good. eco: p,p,p what? worker/ units ratio? dont be silly.
uh shit, my supply, lets grab a probe and take care of another 40 supply in 3 seconds. macro: phew, my luck my units build time is as high as their hitpoints. spamming vults and even using the mines would be ridicolously impossible for someone on my level.
battle micro: lets see, i spread my units a bit having the gosu day i have today. strg-a. sweeeet terra placed his mines a bit to close to his tanks, i win.

Get the fuck out. Toss might be the easiest of the three but still not easy. You are a noob so you can't judge.

Toss execution versus both good zergs and good terran is pretty fucking difficult, you gotta do like 83 little things perfectly right or else they'll just steamroll your army. Lurks and vults both melt zealot meatshields, goons pretty much get raped by everything without support.

having no skill makes me the perfect judge on whats easy and what is not at the beginning. naturally i start with the race i m the most successfull with. when me and my opponents get better the things change. i dont doubt you there, but i will already have made myself most comfortable with the race, that was easiest to start with, so i stick to it as my "main race".
no reason to get angry, it wasnt my intention to belittle the toss's players skill on YOUR level.

Protoss actually is the most newb friendly, yes, but that falls apart fast as you go up in skill.

Part of the problem you are having is that you are Terran. Lots of people go PvT whenever they see a Terran because they perceive themselves as automatically being in the advantage. That's why when I played PGT, my TvP improved the most as Terran. At the time of PGT's death, I was romping through every Protoss in sight unless they were either that good or lucked out with cheese. My TvZ remained weak (read as inconsistent -- to me inconsistency is a sign of weakness) until I found some good Zerg friends to play with. Then my clan lost a bunch of members so I got bored because I couldn't get many games so I quit.

Lots of people also dislike ZvT a lot, and especially now that so many Protosses have gotten stronger at PvZ, you see fewer Zergs.

Right now, I've been playing Zerg only. Most of my opponents turn out to be Terran. Why? Because they perceive themselves as having the advantage. After the Bisu revolution I had started playing again and found mostly Protoss players against me when I went Zerg, but that's changing again I think. Now that Zerg players know what to expect and have worked out builds to counter it (I often use Jaedong's build), you find fewer people picking P against Z.

If protoss was definitely the easiest for everyone, why do people play Z or T? In order to lose? I didn't think so.

it's so funny when you finally get to play a non toss opponent and then mechanically start playing your game and build orders as you would vs toss. then scouting peon enters and you're like "WTF?? SHIT!"

i had the same feelings of boredom and frustration but decided to get over it and use it to my benefit. i'm actually sooo much better vs toss now because i've been mass playing against P

this happened to me
after like 3 tvps in a row i played a tvz and went 11/11 tech as a habit and than saw he was zerg. stupid stupid. Also when im at python 3 o clock i sometimes think im at 12 and make my first supply in a weird place/

I once forge FE vs T XD
I'm used to PvZ

not everyone plays the race he would achieve the best resutls with. but i still agree with you, ofc i cant speak for everyone. i was more trolling with my post than anything else. the actual reason why i played toss was because, with toss its easier do win with a random strategy. i never had a plan what i actually wanted / how i wanted to play and win a game. in pvz f.e. almost any not completely absurd unit mix can pull something off on a low level, regardless of the zergs build. in tvp f.e i dont find that true at all. you have to have a plan form the beginning to stand a fighting chance.

getting non P opponents on Iccup is not difficult.
I'm playing P right now, IMO it is the easiest to get a hold off. But Zerg is not that much more difficult, just takes a bit more time to get used to and feel comfortable with it. Terran is a pain with low hand speed (not necessarily APM).
