But i got really tired of worrying about every hair that falls out... So i joined bald-n-proud club by shaving it all, whatever! Not too long ago, scientists actually thought that balding came from your mother's father. They thought that the gene responsible for hair loss was on the X chromosome. Since women have XX, and males have XY, a male offspring would receive one X from the female and the Y from the male. This results in the male unable to give the balding gene to his son, but pass it onto his daughter, who can then pass it on to her son. I'm pretty sure this is what happens with hemophilia, and those sayings on something skipping a generation. Anyways, further research discovered that the gene is autosomal. In other words, it isn't sex related, and your dad can give it to you. Tough luck. Edit: Just to clarify, if your grandfather on your mother's side is bald, you're still not safe. I think you have like a 50/50 chance. | ||

and I mean like down to the skin, not even fuzz. Hair never suited me well anyways so im happy with how it turned out. Just consider this, balding isn't the worst thing in the world, just be happy you aren't suffering from any major health issues. | ||
