I was walking and obviously it was raining hard outside. Somehow, there is a nursery for plants in our dorm building, so I decided to pay a visit.
Inside the nursery building was a filter, so instead of raining inside, only fine mists glided gently from the top of the room and dropped straight down on the ground.
Did not want to get wet, I made my way out of the room, but then I saw a cup.
The cup is on some kind of stand, it is transparent with waters in it. As I looked at the cup from the side, it appears that the water's been standing in it for awhile, for I could see some small critters, presumeably mosquito's larvae, wiggling about in the water.
I instinctively looked from the top of the cup, trying get a top view on the water inside.
However, as soon as I did that, the cup's inside become a perfect curved reflector, as if the entire cup is made of a mirror, and no trace of water remains.
When I look at the cup from side again, sure enough, it is filled with water, and as I tilt the cup, the water sloshed around in it.
Remembering what I told myself a few days earlier "Evan, if something strange happens, it should be a dream". I become aware that I am actually in a dream.
"WOOHOO! This is awesome!" I yelled to myself as I realized that I actually became lucid in my experience.
As soon as I yelled, the space in front of me collapsed. And I was falling forward, only what was forward is now downward. I was in fact falling down fast, I can vaguely hear the winds in my ears.
"THIS IS AWEsOME!" I proclaimed to myself, and in my mind I wished and wished for a more realistic experience, I wished to feel the wind stings on my skin and see birds and clouds shooting past me.
But no matter how hard I tried, the experience could not become more real. In fact, a constant image of a curved carcesean coordinate with its many little boxes stayed in front of my fall all the time, maybe implying gravity is a space curve or what not.
I tried couple more times, and gave up. "Fuck this let's just wake up".
And so I woke up, I was on the couch, but I was unable to move at all, nor was I able to utter a word. "Great, sleep paralysis, just what I needed." I've never been paralyzed like this before, so I thought it is actually quite amusing not able to be in controll of your body while you are in awareness of it. It continued to be frozen for couple more minutes untill I managed to make a gurgling noise.
"Erarrggg...."
I continued to strenthen my breath untill it become a almighty
"EAERARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG!!!"
And with that as if baloons are inflating through my body all my limps are filled with this energy expanding, and I could get up again.
I got up, and I cannot wait to tell my friend what has just happend, so I started telling her all about my dreams and its coolness.
I went around telling everyfriend of mine my dream and its awesome paralysis afterward, strangely, I've managed to account for my dreams in its entirety to many people in less than 10 minutes.
At some point of my re=account for my dream, I said to myself
"fuck this I want to wake up now"
So then I woke up, and I could move out of the couch and tell my roomate what has just happened, and go here and write this blog entry.
But I should probably go back to writing my philosophy paper now, as it is due in 4 hours.
