more efficiency = more useful returns per same input effectiveness = quantity of succesful attempts per all attempts more effective = more successes per all attempts (or said another way, less unsuccessful attempts) I remember Day9 throwing a comment on mutalisks. How overlord trick = muta micro becomes like 9x more effective. It seems like a good example. With overlord trick, muta micro has an absurd amount more value-winning exchanges per all exchanges. That's because stacking rises the chances that every single mutalisk fires on time, at the same target, to near 100%. Now that is very interesting to understand what effectiveness is. These are the same mutalisks with the same firepower, in the same number. They can suddenly do so much more just because you can stack them. In other words, by figuring out a way to organize the constituent parts much better. That's what happens when you can figure out how to make something more effective. That principle applies almost everywhere, in one way or another, and that's fascinating. Again, it's the same amount of the same unit with the same stats and same capabilities - that can be enhanced and strengthened to such absurdly ridiculously incomparable heights, simply by the virtue of better internal organization. | ||
