I decided to record a 15 minute VLOG with my thoughts on COVID 19 (Caronavirus) from the point of view of someone who is Immune Compromised. I have an auto immune disorder known as Chrons Disease where my immune system thinks my digestive system is something that needs to be destroyed. So I take a bunch of meds to actively weaken my immune system which is kinda scary in a global pandemic.

The big panic buy items at this point in my area are Breads, Bottled Water, Eggs, Milk, Paper Products, and various cleaning products, very similar to your pictures.

The ONLY way for me to get these items is to go to my local groceries at 6am right as they open, and even then there are usually 15-20 cars in the parking lot by 6:15am. It's completely irrational that I have to do this, but until the panic subsides it is what it is.

Now if the U.S. goes on lockdown and gets even more panicky? hoo-boy...

We have one shop that simply refuses to sell to panic buyers and it is the closest grocery store to me, which is fantastic. Everything is there and I can just go and buy stuff like I always do. Meanwhile every other store in a 10 km radius looks post apocalyptic <3

god damn panic hamsters have emptied the toilet paper, flour, pasta, rice and meat shelfs here where I live.
Soo damn selfish to buy excsess amounts. Old, weak and handicapped people who have hard timecarrying single bag of groceries are suffering for this. It's hard for them to circle around multiple shops just to pick up scraps.

I've heard that some stores have even set up specific hours for elderly population.

As things continue to get worse (2 days later after recording this video) we are up to 10,000 cases in the US it is going to become more and more intense for a lot of people.

Shelves here have a limit of 1-2 items per purchase depending on the purchase. I saw a family of 5 take out 5 of the largest toilet paper rolls as it's 1 per person. I wonder if they hit the other shops and did something similar.

It's kind of weird to see pictures like this. In Bulgaria there's a lockdown, schools don't work, education is online, most shops and the malls don't work. Yes, there are people in line in front of grocery stores and banks, even at my place they wait (I am a veterinarian and we're allowed to work). But the stores themselves are loaded and there's an ample supply of products.

Stay safe man, both from working in retail plus having friends with various health issues I have a special degree of contempt from panic buying and I wish pre-emptive measures plus social ostracism were deployed on them.

I have unlimited overtime at present, as well as access to our stock records on my phone so I’m trying to pick shifts so I can help friends pick up things they actually need, a recovering cancer patient and a couple with a child awaiting a transplant.

Even with that I’ve thus far failed to get some of these items. We’ve closed for purchases now 10pm-6am so my original plan to work a few night shifts to pick up a few things before they’re devoured by the panic buyers. Outside of toilet roll which is always gone entirely when I have been working, the sanitary products my friends need are never there either.

Worst part about panic buyers is even the likes of myself and friends who are blasé on Corona as you can find are now panicking because we didn’t stockpile and are running low of all sorts, the hoarders are forcing everyone else into freaking out too.
