Q: Please tell us a little bit more about yourself for those that are not familiar with you!
A: My name is Martin Binding Mouritzen, I go by the ingame name Spazymazy and I play a very aggressive style of Zerg.
Q: You just recently joined team ePunks. What were your reasons, and how do you expect it to impact your Starcraft II career?
A: I’ve always wanted to try out being a full time Starcraft 2 player, so when I got the opportunity to join such a professional team, I just had to accept it. With this, I’m expecting myself to reach a new skill level in SC2 over the coming months.
Q: How do you feel about your teammates and the fact that all players are danish? Do you think that this will be beneficial for the forthcoming of the team?
A: I like all the people on the team, and them being danish helps out a lot with communication and practice. The fact that we all live relatively close means that it’s easier to arrange trips together for events outside Denmark which is nice.
Q: You are meeting up with your teammates at Copenhagen Games. What are your expectations regarding the results for this event?
A: Im not very fond of ZvP these days, but lately I’ve started doing really well in practice, so I’m expecting at least top three.
Q: Being the youngest player in the team, are the others a source of inspiration for you? Are you profiting from their experience?
A: Being the youngest on ePunks and youngest GM in Denmark does actually put some pressure on you since you are expected to become a lot better. At the same time, that is also motivating, knowing that someone believes in you.
Q: Do you have any specific goals for 2018? If so, how do you plan to achieve them?
A: I would love to win Copenhagen Games, but the biggest goal of 2018 for me is to reach third group stage of Dreamhack Valencia. Besides that, I wanna reach consistent top 50 GM before the end of the year.
Q: Since Starcraft II became free to play, we have a lot of new players in the community. Is there some advise that you have for them regarding how to practice and which mindset is helpful?
A: Always enjoy the game and be happy! Don't try to copy the builds done by pro gamers if you aren't solid at the game yet, you need to create your own style and work with that, then over time the results will come.
Q: Do you want to say some words for your fans and supporters?
A: Big shoutout to the two people who always cheer for me: Wok and Kira. Remember to look out for me during the next events in Europe, I'm going to try to attend all of them. Thank you for the continued support. Thank you to ePunks for giving me a chance on their roster, thank you to the sponsors Team Razer and Gunnar Optiks.
Thank you for your time.
