It's been awhile since I last blogged, so I thought I'd share some of my opinions with you. These opinions are about LotV. I would like to preface this by also saying that I am not expert on SC2, LotV, using my brain, or anything. I even have problems with sometimes putting my pants over my head like a shirt. But I'm probably right about everything I'm saying. I'm not saying I am right, but I'm saying that I probably am right. But probably 100%.
#1 Everything is wrong
Everything is wrong with LotV. Some stuff I like, and I feel like the game is going where I personally want it to go for my own intents and purposes, but it's definitely not there yet. I remain optimistic about this expansion because I want it to be a wild, run-away success that will attract millions of players and viewers from around the world. The reason for this is that I believe I have gotten onboard the e-sports train early enough so that I can become good and get a sponsorship and be a progamer. I think this is a reasonable goal because anything is possible, amirite?
Terran metagame
Everything is broken about the Terran metagame at this very moment, especially against Zerg and Protoss. Also, TvT is unbearable to watch. I feel like Blizzard has nerfed everything I'm familiar with and has buffed everything I hate. They nerfed other things that I hated, but then buffed other things and now there are new things to hate upon. I feel like I should win more, but people who are generally intellectually inferior to me, and who probably have not invested nearly as much time as myself into the game, are beating me. The solution to this seems obvious, since I play 10 hours a day. You see, the players I lose to only do one build over and over again. I do like four builds. Four is greater than one, and therefore, I am much smarter and more cunning than my opponents, who are unable to fathom the strategic depth of the game that I possess. I therefore should never lose to such pedestrians, and their things that I dislike should be nerfed. Not heavily, of course, because I want Zerg and Protoss players to be onboard with this idea, and proposing the heavy nerfs that I really want would ultimately push them away from my line of thinking. I genuinely think that by getting people to agree with me on this forum, that it will somehow influence Blizzard Inc., to order their developers to change the game in my favour.
Zerg metagame
Everything is broken about the Zerg metagame at this very moment, especially against Terran and Protoss. Also, ZvZ is unbearable to watch. I feel like Blizzard has nerfed everything I'm familiar with and has buffed everything I hate. After playing many, many games (probably more than most people, but I won't say more than the people reading here, as I want to convey that I am humble and am a person you can trust) I feel as though my opponents can win during the early game, mid game, and even late game. No matter how hard I macro, I feel behind. I have won many games, but those are only because I did some very homoerotic cheese builds, which I can describe with words that are derogatory to the LGBT community, and those who must deal with the weight of intellectual disabilities. That being said, you may ask: "Why not keep doing such cheeses and win games?" and the answer is very simple. If I believe I am macroing really hard, I believe that the amount of macro I am doing should prevail and I want to play macro games and not cheese games because macro is better than cheese.
Protoss makes me feel ill, as if I have some sort of stomach infection
I quite often lose to Protoss, and this makes me ireful. If I am to make the leap from Silver league to Gold, this trend of Protoss victory over me must end, and quickly. But first, I need to say that everything is broken about the Protoss metagame at this very moment, especially against Zerg and Protoss. Also, PvP is unbearable to watch. I feel like Blizzard has nerfed everything I'm familiar with and has buffed everything I hate. This has caused me so much emotional distress that my psychiatrist has upped my dosage of medical marijuana from 3 medical marijuana tablets per day to 4 medical marijuana tablets per day, and I've read studies that show that going up to 5 medical marijuana tablets can be fatal. Despite the adverse risk to my life and health, I continue to play SC2, and become filled with wrath and hatred at the conclusion of every match. Why I do this, I cannot say.
I will, on occasion, play Protoss, despite my feelings of pure malignant disdain for this imaginary fictional race of aliens, and the real-life people who choose to select this faction for usage in multiplayer interactions. Again, I believe this can easily be remedied by creating a blog that becomes so popular that it incites others to follow my lead and force Blizzard Entertainment Inc. to be persuaded to my point of view. But I digress. I want to explain what happens when I play Protoss. I win many games as Protoss, but instead of feeling satisfaction or happiness because of my many victories, I begin to dislike myself in a very profound way. I do not macro very hard in the games I play as Protoss, and yet win without very much macroing. I instead plan and execute strategies that I believe should be compared, metaphorically, to the excrement of a non-castrated male species of taurus. The more I play and win with Protoss, the more angry with myself I become. This is a paradox of sorts, because I believe I should win, but definitely not with Protoss. This also seems counter-intuitive to logic, as I should not be angry with myself, but rather, with Blizzard Entertainment Inc., but I reserve judgement for them, because I want them to like me and to be persuaded to see things from my point of view.
The game needs more/less macro
I love macro, more than life itself at times. However, LotV should be focusing on making players do more macro, so that the skill cap of the game will be higher, allowing me to finally display my talent as a great macro-er. However, I also want the game to have less macro at the same time. Does that seem crazy? I hope it does. I have a crazy dream, which is that SC2 will have billions, perhaps trillions of fans around the world. The only way to make this possible is to lower the skill ceiling so that the game will be more noob-friendly, and get more noobs into the game, so that I will seem better by comparison. Do you think if all the skaters were Tony Hawk, that the real Tony Hawk would be able to get a record deal with Dr. Dre? I don't think so!
Conclusion
This is the conclusion of the blog. The point of this conclusion is to sum up all the things I have said so far. Those things are: Terran metagame needs changed. Protoss metagame needs change. Zerg metagame needs changing. The game needs more macro. The game needs less macro. I also would like to jokingly say (in jest) that if these things are done by Blizzard Entertainment Inc., that I will no longer begin to imagine, in my anger, the hyperbole-based action of performing sexual acts on David Kim with tools that are normally used to do road-side emergency maintenance when a tire loses its air due to a puncture, or something of that nature, and needs to be temporarily replaced. Fank you.
This is a response. This will tell you what my opinion is on your blog post. I believe that this blog post is of a certain quality. Based on that opinion, I would like to tell you what I think of you for making this post.

I certainly agree that you wrote a response, and after considering what you've written, I have had emotional reactions to it.

If ATVI can't afford her i'll settle for Serena Williams.
i guess my 3rd choice would be Gina Carano , but she is getting old.
my 4th choice would have to be Cindy Klassen. Now that she has retired from speed skating i need a new reason to watch her.
We don't have that kind of a budget. Maybe we can get like Flo from the insurance commercials or something.
" ..that are normally used to do road-side emergency maintenance when a tire loses its air due to a puncture, or something of that nature".. So you have experience in that?

Changing a tire? Yeah... yeah I have. It was an adventure I shall never forget.
Unlike a common tradition on TL, I am not going to say something nice to begin with to then proceed to stabbing you in the back repeatedly (figuratively speaking).
Rather, I'd like to admit that I dislike most of your posts yet am strangely entertain(t)ed by this one. 5/5.
+1 star for "the excrement of a non-castrated male species of taurus" and that's about it honestly - you are mocking things that are so obviously bad that they don't even need to be mocked, moreover it's not very clear whether you actually don't use the mockery to hide (maybe even from yourself) the fact that you hold some of the opinions.
Would be more interested in hearing what you BW hardcores really think about LoTV.
5/5 this is a rating. This will tell you how much I liked or got entertained by either your blog post or the replies to the blog post or both.
@opisska I'm actually interested at why there are so many *insert smth* macro mechanics *insert smth* threads over at the LotV section. To my understanding, Blizzard has changed a lot of things (yeah I know about the lurkers but not much else hehe.)
5/5 Unapologetic and provocative humorous literature.

At this point, most of us either got into SC2 or never will. LotV changes little either way.

Out of curiosity was there a motivation for this blog other than to make fun of darthcaesar's blog? Or is that specific formatting more common to LotV blogs than I realize?

There is so much wrong with your post. I'm just going to make a list.
I'm a 'BW hardcore'. I have no opinion of the expansion except that it's not Brood War. I'm tired of people telling me how "BW-like" it is.
Do you know how a 'fact' works? You can't make any assumption and declare it to be true, even if it is true, because it's still an assumption until you can prove it.
I don't hold these opinions.
You need to stop with this attitude of "This not funny and to see what you REALLY think through the masquerade of humor!!!"

Do you hold secret meetings to coordinate, or does it come completely natural?
Mind you I am not a native speaker, so I may have used a wrong formulation. For someone having no opinion of LoTV, you have surely gone to a length mocking people who do.
last chance, blizzard. this is your last chance. if you mess up again by not implementing my suggestions, your chances will have run out. no longer will i allow myself to be david browdered and dustin kimmed by design ideas contrary to my own
if lotv does not fix the things, i will do the thing. this thing will destroy your company. you must comply. also stop making hearthstone because cards make me feel uncomfortable
They should have copied BW's winning strategy and ended after 1 expansion! BW has only 1 expansions so it is more like HoTS. Thats why in BW there were awesome players like BoXer and REACH, and Grrrr.... Now they have another epansion and the game has 0% hope of survival past -1 years.

You absolutely did use the incorrect alliteration, as your allegations are based solely on assumptions, and while "the fact is" may very well be a colloquialism used to reinforce a claim through hyperbole, it remains expressly incorrect when dealing with assumptions.

Normally, I don't tell people how they ought to speak, but since you asked, I'll say this: You appear to be very easily annoyed, and I get the impression that you sometimes may take certain subjects too personally. However (assuming that this is the case), you probably aren't psychic, and cannot presume to know what I am thinking. Well, it's not a Legacy of the Void thing. Posts concerning peoples' opinions on SC2 are actually not a new thing, believe it or not. One of the very best voiced opinions was qxc's "Blizzard is doing the ghost nerf wrong" blog, where he was very thorough in his presentation. It was not bland. It was not misinformed. It was logical and well thought-out. I could say the same for that 'double harvest' post. Very good stuff.
And you should know this as well, if you don't already: balance discussion/whine is not limited to SC2. It's something I see a lot elsewhere. Since this is a StarCraft-based website, I think the best humor to use here would be one that would be better understood by the users of this site. That being said, I am not 'mocking' any one person specifically or personally. I am also not mocking SC2 or LotV. I have, however, been vocal and critical of the whiners in the SC2 community, especially those who are posting as an emotional response to their discontent with the game.

my favorite part is that everyone represents the entire community. every single lotv thread you see someone say "they're trolling us, they have no idea what they're doing" and someone immediately after declaring that they're finally listening and fixing the game's biggest problems, and both posters will act like they're heralding the zeitgeist of the starcraft scene. everyone came up with their own convoluted economic model and decided that it specifically is the obvious solution to everything. there's zero humility or respect
as much as i find the starbow community obnoxious, they at least took action to try designing the game they wanted instead of incessantly crying and dehumanizing the dev team because they're bad at playing against forcefields

It is the Brotherhood of Nod making you think it is Garena with the Patriarchy working under them. It is no coincidence that Dustin Browder used to work for Westwood, the makers of C&C. Nor, is it a coincidence that both Browder and Kane are both bald.. nor is it a coincidence that Browder is sculpting his body and face to become in effect a stand-in or body-double for the leader of Nod.
every year Dustin Browder looks more and more like the leader of Nod.
The Starcraft franchise is being eroded from within by a secret double agent who seeks to return Kane, Nod and Tiberium as the pre-eminent pillars of the RTS Genre.
here is a secret conversation that happened within Blizzard between CEO Mike Morhaime and ATVI top dog Robert Kotick...
"with respect ... perhaps this is a man you don't fully understand either ..." "some men aren't looking for anything logical like money. .. they can't be bought , bullied, bargained or negotiated with ..." "some men... just want to watch the Starcraft franchise burn...."
i won't tell you who said which line... i'll leave that to my next post.
Physically I think nina is simply not equipped to play LotV. Most girls are extremely dexterous by contrast with their male counterparts, but when I played BW against her, her APM was very low (for her level of expertise). What you don't seem to understand is that when a player opts for a variety of builds, the mind games are in the execution. In fact, a single build is much safer. One can address more options. There are many checkmates along the tech tree, and without a doubt the reason you are losing is less to do with your enemy and more to do with general ignorance.
How many games have you played? And how many builds have you pioneered? I don't feel any sympathy whatsoever with OP because not only is it obvious you haven't put in any effort, it's also obvious you're lying about the game from top to bottom. For instance, did you really play Protoss? If you did, then I'm totally wrong, and I take back everything I've said so far. On the one hand I wish it were the case, but knowing you and how manipulative Starcraft has made me, I can only assume you are ten times worse.
This is what happens when you take a game of logic and push your own rationale on the design team. You want skill. You also want macro to be addressed. No one is going to address macro in an MBS game with mining mechanics. You never say what it is you hate or what it is Blizzard fixed. Was it Colossus range? You have no idea what the developers were thinking, but they have absolutely no reason to short you. Your critiques of Dustin Browder and David Kim aren't warranted at all, at all.
Obviously you are the single most important contributor to TL's blog section, and outside of featured I don't think anyone would try to contest that. Unfortunately, on the other hand, your ego is always getting in the way of your good meaning. When you try to enliven discussions by dealing rationally with ideas that excite you, you're in danger of misleading younger players who are still interested in Starcraft. Ultimately the game is important, and how you think it should be played less so. You're trapped in these archetypes I wouldn't express publicly, and the reasoning and logic of my saying so is clear.

yoko king white knight even after 3 paragraphs of misogynist slander LOL
If SC2 got more like C&C it would get a better plot, cutscenes and campaign. The HotS campaign was so damn awful I could not get myself to play it through. I stopped half way and started playing the SC1 campaign again instead.
C&C was always the single-player game, while Starcraft was the multiplayer RTS. All the C&C campaigns except C&C4 and RA3 were pretty cool, even Tiberian Dawn's "budget" campaign. SC1+BW were decent but not great, WoL I slogged through, and HotS I just watched a LP because I was just not interested in it anymore.
No one in SC was as compelling as Kane or Stalin from the C&C games.
