So some of you may remember me, most of you probably won't. I am the former team captain of FXOpen NA but haven't since August of 2013. Due to wrist injuries, and a change in my plans for the future, I quit the game and literally haven't played more than 5 games since I quit. Since then I worked on an oil rig for 9 months, saved up my money, and moved to Seoul, South Korea. I'm currently studying Korean full time at SNU ( Seoul National University) and am pursing a career as an actor in Seoul.
Yesterday I had myself some free time so I hopped back onto Starcraft for the first time, and had a blast! I'm terrible now, have no build orders, am not familiar with the meta, etc. But it was a blast! I was placed only Plat but haven't had time to play much. I'll get myself back into Masters asap and plan on starting up again. Just casually, I don't plan on being competitive, but I have a lot of nostalgia for the game and really enjoy it.
I'm streaming now if you want to come watch http://www.twitch.tv/karmysc, and will be more a majority of the day. I will also be streaming on a more regular basis, so if you'd like to come back and watch me try and get back to not sucking at this game, then give me a follow and I'll try my best to entertain you.

From SC2 to oil rigs to South Korean acting classes. Damn dude I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything close too that. Almost kinda wanna read a bio :3 Did you happen to live in the province you worked at? Or moved from like Ontario for the sole purpose of working on a rig?

That is an insanely awesome story, I would save up $ and work on an oil rig to move to Seoul Korea as well, sounds like a master plan!

Weren't you at the MoW house for a moment? Anyway, glad to know that you're living a cool life.

pretty insane couple of years, best of luck to you

I don't know if any of you will read this again, and sorry for the late reply. I forgot I had posted this actually.
Yeah I lived in Calgary and worked up near Edson.
It worked out well! The work was hard, but well worth it.
I was at MoW for a moment. Things didn't work out incredibly well there, but it was still a great experience.
I'm not currently working on any films, I'm still in the process of learning Korean, and that is my full time focus. But I've filmed a few commercials, as well as done a few English voice acting gigs. I have a few friends that work in different entertainment agencies, so once I'm more fluent in Korean, and finished my weight loss goals, I'll be in a good position to get signed by one of them.
Thank you. It has been crazy. I'll most likely post a blog in the near future about what has happened since I quit Starcraft, but I have mid terms this week so nothing but studying for me/
