Foreward: -I live in a relatively good community with rather high property prices. (it isn't a ghetto by any means) -I live in a primarily Asian community. -I currently go to high school.
As a Chinese American, I am wondering why do people always admire Caucasians? All the Asian girls in this region (possibly everywhere) struggle to get white boyfriends. Asian boyfriends are a “last resort” and are stepping stones to better (and whiter) things. Additionally, white people who call Asians chinks never experience retaliation while calling a white person anything slightly derogatory will result in possibly getting attacked. Thank god the only classes I have had in which I encountered white people were PE and health. There aren’t many “normal” white people at my school. I define “normal” as does not get into fights, does not smoke weed, and cares about school and learning at least a little bit. Every white person seems to be the generic delinquent, loitering on campus for hours, smoking some pot with buddies, wandering the streets, skateboarding, and then getting home at 12, doing a half assed job on half of his homework, and then chatting with his Asian girlfriend until 3am. Additionally, old white women in cars sometimes honk and scream at my father for not yielding to them, even when he has right of way. This is a combination of the fact he is a “fucking chink” and he drives a ’97 civic. I find myself yielding to this pressure as well. For instance, last week I was watching something on my phone while standing on the sidewalk in the neighborhood. A white person came out of an adjacent home and told me to fuck off (because I am Chinese). I immediately ran away. However, had that been an Asian person, I probably would have reasoned with him and explained that I have the right to stand on the sidewalk because it is public property. A few weeks ago, a fat white woman in a car screamed and threated to kill me because I was riding my bike in the vehicle lane for a left turn, despite the fact I gestured left with my arm. This is completely legal and is required for the safety for both the cyclist and drivers. She screamed, “GET THE FUCK OFF THE ROAD, YOU DON’T OWN THE ROAD.” I immediately complied. You see, I fear white people. I think white people are better than me, even though I can’t bring myself to admit it. I just listen to them because they are white, and because I’ve been taught by society than I’m the white man’s bitch. In my subconscious, I think they are better than me in every way because they are white and I’m Asian. Are white people really better than me? Maybe. They are taller, have more angular facial features, are stronger, are more athletic, and are faster than Chinese people. They have been pwning eastern society’s military, economy, and society ever since the Ming dynasty. This has caused me to continually consider the nature of this superiority. Are whites really the master race and is that why I am the white man’s bitch? Or am I actually just as good as the white man, and I’ve just let my weak peers influence my perspective of the world? This is something to think about, and maybe some of you guys can give me an answer.

There is no evidence suggesting racial superiority, and there is no trend suggesting it either. I think you are just using that as an excuse for lower self confidence.

In your Asian community or in general?

In my school. I have no clue if this applies to other communities as well.

Jesus, where do you live? It sounds more like you have a lot of insane white people in your area, rather than white people hating on Asians. I'm white, so I can't really say I can understand being on the Asian end of the stick fully, but I don't think I've ever seen the kind of unprovoked aggression or random attacks that you've spoken of; it sounds nuts where you live.
We're basically all the same, it's just that there are some racist dickheads out there who would have you believe otherwise.

I'm sure you won't disagree with the statement that a lot of people in the past and present have believed or do believe in racial superiority. I'm merely noting how that prevalent belief has persisted and affects society to the point where I wonder if it is valid or not.

Everything in this blog is anecdotal evidence based on a biased local sample of a handful of occurences, hyperbole, exaggeration, and selective bias...no, white people are not better than you.
I'm white...are Asian people really better than me? Maybe. They are smarter, harder workers, economically successful and have extraordinary discpline and cultural codes of ethics. They are better at things involving hand-eye coordination, ping pong, and badminton.
My guess is for every bad experience you've had with a white person, you attribute it to racism or view it with a racial slant. That is a bold assumption to make about your experiences...

Dang, your community is really tough. Obviously this phenomenon is by no means limited to your community alone, but I daresay it is not the norm for sure. I wouldn't try to reason with anyone who tells you to fuck off in the case of a sidewalk though, because the idea that it's public property and that you weren't actually loitering should be self-evident...and it would not only be awkward but ultimately fruitless to try to "reason with them" as you put it lol.

Your counterargument is valid. However, have you ever seen a white female interested in an Asian man? Have you ever seen a white person get harassed by an Asian because he is white? Have you ever seen white people get beat up by Asian people? If you have, it definitely isn't as frequent as the reverse. I believe most people would agree Asians admire and bow down to whites more than whites admire and bow down to Asians.

Additionally, white people who call Asians chinks never experience retaliation while calling a white person anything slightly derogatory will result in possibly getting attacked. I think the problem is you're stuck in some time warp gone wrong, possibly around mid-late 19th century America.
Unfortunately they haven't invented DeLoreans yet so I think you're pretty hosed.
Good luck.

Whether intentional or not, I found your blog a very amusing read. Also, im sorry you've had so many bad incidents with us white people, but there is definitely a lot of good ones out there. I know exactly what you mean about asian girls and white guys though. My 2 younger brothers (white) both have only ever dated asian girls of varying ethnicities. Neither of them have ever dated a white girl....so strange

1) Yes, this happens all the time. My roommate Alex actually only liked white babes for whatever reason and dated/boned them exclusively. They didn't seem to mind him being asian. There's definitely babes with a "thing" for asian dudes if you know what I mean 2) Not as much as I've seen the reverse-- but everyone has the capacity for racist actions. 3) See #2
In any case, where I went to high school, there really wasn't some subservience of asians or anything like what you describe. In fact, a lot of the white dudes who hung out with asians were called "eggs" for being white on the outside and yellow on the inside, for taking AP courses, studying hard, and generally "acting asian".
It sounds like you go to school in a tough environment, but stick it out and remember that all races are equal. Try to go to college in an urban area of California.

You seem to be overgeneralizing on Asian talents... :p
But yes, reality is how you perceive it regardless of how small the sample size, extreme experiences are more profoundly memorable than mundane ones. As such, you would believe they are more frequent and more severe than they are in reality. As for them being racially motivated, I wont comment as I am not privy to the treatment that OP has received....

No, I actually live in the northern populated part of the golden state. And I'll admit my post may be slightly sensationalized and I'm not traumatized or really "outraged" by any means. However, the fact remains that people leave white people alone because they are scary and alpha and smoke pot and aren't afraid to kick your ass. This doesn't bother me, because I just avoid white people, but still, why do I need to do this? Why do I need to purposely avoid white people so I don't get fucked up? Why?

To answer your questions: White female interested in an Asian man? Yes. My ex-wife left me for one. White person harassed by an Asian because he is white? Not really, at least in the United States. In China, however, I have heard from people that were there that it can happen. Likely an example of minority status in any location. Then again, it's possible that a Caucasian wouldn't notice even if it were happening in the US, unless it were of the extreme variety. (IE, in the wrong part of town and told to leave by people living there for their own safety. Or violently accosted. Again, minority/majority issue dependent on the location.)
I wouldn't agree, but largely because generally in the United States most people don't bow down to anyone unless required to because of authority. Then again, my experience of people with "authority" runs a gamut of responses from others ranging from polite cooperation to obscene and violent defiance. Your mileage may vary.
Further, I agree with others in this thread. Where the hell do you live? I live in the Deep South, and do not see the kinds of things you are describing. There is intolerance, and racism, but they are varied and cut in all directions. Are you feeling persecuted?
(Disclaimer: As part of the "majority" my personal experience of racism may be suspect. I don't claim to know the trouble experienced by minority and ethnic groups in the US. In general, my opinion of racism and racists of all kinds is that they are a compelling argument for why humanity as a group sucks. Then again, there are few if any racial epithets that could be levied against me, even using the portion of my DNA that is from a minority group, that would bother me - there just isn't any historical or cultural baggage that applies. There just isn't the same impact other words have on other people.)
