Hey TL, first blog so go easy on me.

So I really want to see Chroncile, it sounds like an awesome movie. However I wonder if it's smart to watch it with my GF? She kinda hates scary movies but it's a bit tricky. She liked Xmen first class, but she hated the last Mission Impossible.

Long story short, she doesn't mind scary stuff, as long as she sees it coming.

I don't want to watch the movie myself (and spoil it for me) to judge so I ask you, how scary is Chronicle?

PLEASE DO NOT SPOILER THE STORY FOR ME!

All I know that its a bloody annoying ad everytime I want to watch a youtube video.

Not scary, but not action packed as the trailers make you think.

I really enjoyed the movie and it gives you a tonne to talk about at the end, but if your looking for 100% OMG entertainment then don't go see it. It's more of a dudes film than a chick film!

IMO i didnt think it was so great, maybe casue i'm more use to the standard way of fliming, i just found it annyoing sometimes cause i cant see wtf is going on, and the ending, is just something else, u can have your own opinon + Show Spoiler +

but i think it sucked....

I brought my gf to watch it, and tbh It's not exactly a good date film to see though. The movie's plot is along the lines of Akira the anime.

Totally agree, think Akira meets one of those b-rate style films (where its all done from like a consumer camera) meets a super hero film like spiderman, if you can get over that then you're good!

I can only recommend this movie. It's not as focused on effects and action as other superhero movies. It's more of a character studies and as a result runs a lot deeper in my opinion. For a date though, I would probably avoid this one unless you wanna talk about some depressing issues in society and so on.

Me and my girlfriend watched it together, it is not scary at all, but it is a great movie, we enjoyed it alot.

if you see scary stuff coming that basically makes it non scary wtf. Also how can you not like the last mission impossible.

I have a good solution to your problem, just always see the movie first. That way if there's ANY scary stuff in a movie you can just tell her about it ahead of time, ruining half the fun of the movie but making it enjoyable for her!

I watched it and the movie is rediculously good, and this is coming from someone who was skeptic when I saw all the high reviews for it through rotten tomatoes. The movie starts a little sci-fi ish with some strange scenes, and there are a few parts that are flat out brutal which can be seen as scary but more akin to disturbing.

On a scale from 1 to Amnesia on scariness, I give it a zero.
On a scale from 1 to MMAvbronze rank 100 players in brutality, I give it a 7. Pretty ballsy of a movie to show some of the stuff they do.
