EPTBeen a couple of days since I last had a go of Starcraft, but I played a couple on Sunday afternoon and a couple tonight which I'll post together in Session III. Had a few dodgy games in this session, but overall has been a decent stint.
I spent most of the weekend watching Assembly and the MLG. Some epic games there. Stephano once again proved how much of a boss he is, but when it mattered the most Polt made him look ordinary.
For the UK Starcrafters, Bling had a good showing in the group stage of Assembly, going 3-0 in his group, including 2-0 against eventual winner Polt!
Over at the MLG, late entrant DeMuslim just missed out on some prize money, stunning Nestea in the first round before falling into the lower bracket against Oz before taking out Grubby, before losing to Violet. A huge showing especially against the Koreans that were put out in front of him.

What happened
He did a 3 gate expand, then got a robo. He sat back forever and eventually pushed out around the 13 minute mark by which point I had double the supply lead against him. Crushed his forces but he
didn't gg, so I checked for a third, wasn't there and waited for max and marched into his natural.
What I did well
Maxed out rather quickly and had quick double upgrades.
What I did badly
Should have taken a fourth much earlier
Could it have ended badly
I spent a long time without an army as I transitioned into Roaches, if he'd hit me then he could have done bad things maybe.
Stopping the third
He never tried to get one.

What happened
We both went Hatch first and I didn't hit hold position on my queens and his zerglings ran up into my main. He killed 5 workers before I cleared up.
I went into double upgrade roaches and he put a spire down and tried to take his 3rd and 4th bases as I took my third. I cancelled his 4th when a handful of mutalisks ran into my natural. I base
traded with him while putting up spores in my main and third. He didn't have the units to stop my roaches killing everything.
What I did well
I reacted quickly to the mutalisks by pushing into his third and natural. He had built a few crawlers but it wasn't enough to threaten my army.
What I did badly
Didn't scout mutalisks until they hit me.
Could it have ended badly
He didn't send a huge amount of mutas (9) and didn't attack correctly, he cleared out a lot of overlords and killed my just finished infestation pit, but allowed both my evo chambers to survive to
let me have 2-2 and didn't kill my hatches, instead trying to pick off reinforcements to my army.
Stopping the third
It wasn't up long, he took his 4th at the same time and I denied that almost immediately and then pushed into his bases.

What happened
He did a really really weird build. I scouted 4 gates, found and killed his proxy pylon and build enough to hold. He never attacked though so I guessed he just expanded because he couldn't attack
now. But he had built a TC and shrine and attacked me. I thought I had easily held off his army but didn't notice the DTs. Should have just gged after that but didn't think he would expand behind it.
He went into Zealot Archon and rolled me.
What I did well
Scout the front of his base with lings. Saw all 4 gates come down and was pretty confident about it.
What I did badly
Didn't overlord scout, didn't have lair or evo chamber down. I was pretty annoyed about DT cheese, but realized it was my own mistakes that cost me the game, I should have put down an evo anyways and
been safe

What happened
He did a really aggressive 1 base speedling into an expand. I only lost 2 drones but he forced a lot of zerglings out of me. so had a 7 drone lead. As I thought I was way behind I didn't get enough
army up and lost 20 drones to the attack before holding it off. I knew I had to go all in but it didn't work.
What I did well
Holding off his initial Zergling attack. I actually did this really well, better than I thought at the time. I even used the hold command trick with my drones allowing me to kill the lings off with
my queen.
What I did badly
Realize how many drones I had lost (or hadn't in this case).
Scout his roaches coming.

What happened
He opened with a drop that I held with minimum loss. He expanded and turtled up with a load of missile turrets due to mutas. I maxed on broodlords and infestors and zerglings and killed his natural.
He camped out in his main for a bit and I lost a lot of forces but killed him eventually.
What I did well
Holding drops, with one exception where he killed my baneling nest, he was very drop-happy.

What happened
I played really badly, this was the first game of the day after a couple off. He opened with a 1 base stargate and expanded but never really pressured with his stargate.
What I did well
I saw double gas early so guessed air or DTs so made sure I got my evo chamber down in time.
What I did badly
Macro was terrible. Was completely distracted and playing badly. Luckily he didn't pressure me until about 18 minutes with his whole army and his upgrades weren't as good as mine.
Let him take a third and fourth without even noticing. Not my best game. WAs very lucky to win.
Could it have ended badly
Yes, if he had attacked me at all before 10minutes he probably would have walked me.

If a cannon had gone up it probably would have destroyed my natural.
Stopping the third
Killed it before any probes mined from it. Had map vision of all the bases and kept him on 2 base for whole game (considering his main was pretty much mined out when he retook his third
