Hey TL! It's time for another food porn blog
You can read my full blog post here: http://kierpanda.blogspot.com/2012/02/sky-high-banshee-burgers.html
This time, I made burgers. Om nom nom.
![[image loading]](http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/403962_2736311640459_1037370161_32225169_1843804861_n.jpg) Double Stacked Mushroom Swiss Burgers
INGREDIENTS
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 3/4 or 2lbs of Ground Beef (I used 85/15, but you can go leaner if you'd like)
- 1/2 of a Yellow Onion
- 1/4 lb of Mushrooms
- 4 slices of Swiss Cheese
- 1/4 lb of Arugula
- 4 Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
PROCEDURE
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper.
- Place ground beef in a bowl.
- Add Worcestershire sauce.
- Mix meat thoroughly.
- Create patties with the meat by forming small balls. You'll need to make about 8 patties. The balls should be no more than 2 inches in diameter. Gently press down and flatten to create the patties.
- Set a pan to high heat and add a teaspoon of olive oil.
- Chop mushrooms and onions.
- Sautee mushrooms and onions. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper while they sautee.
- Remove mushrooms and onions and set aside.
- In a hot pan, cook the burgers. Burgers should take about 4-5minutes on each side. You should see fat start to ooze out from the burgers.
- Place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of a burger patty.
- Add mushrooms and onions on top of the cheese.
- Place another burger patty on top of the mushrooms and onions. Let cheese melt for about 30 seconds. Remove from the pan immediately.
- Place washed arugula on a whole wheat bun.
- Add your double patty and Swiss cheese sandwich onto the bun.
And you're done! :D Eat and enjoy!

Btw, if you guys have feedback for my blogspot blog, please let me know! @_@ I want to know what I can do to improve it!
Thanks for reading, TL!

Oh man that looks so good.

Are you kidding me this is extremely nsfw...
Do you add any type of sauce to it?
|

Nah.
I was thinking about doing homemade chipotle-mayo... but I don't have a food processor.
I'm making another burger recipe soon though. It'll have horse radish sauce. :D I don't want to say too much because that'll just ruin the surprise.
|
Oh my god I have the biggest mouth boner.
So how important is the arugula or whatever? Would it be incredibly different without it?
EDIT: HOLY CRAP why have I never seen your blogs before? Please continue. I will be watching. And using them recipes. O__O

It won't be that different if you leave it out. If you're not a fan of arugula or just can't find it, feel free to it swap it out for another type of leafy green.
arugula just adds a bit more kick to the burger since it does have a bit more bite than other greens.
The star of the show is the burger itself, everything else is just the supporting cast. :p

So hungry right now.
Your blog is like porn indeed, I know I shouldn't click these kinds of links, but it's just ... to good.
Also they both make me feel dirty and empty

omg so good young man
Also they both make me feel dirty and empty this

My mouth is fapping so hard to that hamburger pic right now.

If you take requests, I request a stir fry of some sort. I know they're generally an easy recipe but I want to see it done in some magical way, since you're clearly a wizard.

Down to make stir fry.
Any preferences on the meat of choice?
|
Hmm. Not really. Usually when I make one at home I use beef of some sort because that's what is readily available. So I guess the preference is to stay to something that's not 'exotic,' like goat meat or something. xD
Am especially looking forward to the sauce.

Why are you tormenting us kierpanda?

I don't think I can get goat meat here. hahah
I've made stir fry with peanut sauce before. Really really easy to make.
Hmmmm....

:D I'll leave the details up to you. I thank you for taking this into consideration, and will doublethankyou when/if you go through with it. ^_^

yumyumyumyumyumyum!
Looks good 5/5
I like to do turkey burgers a lot too, just as easy to make and a lot less fat/grease (though they aren't as tasty!)
I'm curious about the Worcestershire Sauce, I've often heard of people putting that in burgers. Does it add a lot of taste?
|
...ffs, I was just about to go to bed, and now I'm way too hungry to ever fall asleep >.<

Godammit. I was full just a minute ago, and now I'm hungry again T.T
That being said, I'd replace the swiss cheese by Cheddar ( or even raclette cheese cuz its winter ), but its personal preferrence only. Home made burgers are so good anyway :D
I'm so hungry.

looks good... but is that a steering wheel in the background?? O.o
|
How come the fact that I just ate doesn't make this any less appetizing?
|

Is it just me or is that really unhealthy to be eating that at 4am. Sorry, but I am just a tad worried aobut your health in that regards.
|

It's pretty good(although I don't doubt you could make better one at home) but it's easy to do and you can just mix it together on the bread itself when you need it instead of making a bunch at once. I always go for the chipotle mayo sauce at sandwich /burger places if they have it love the stuff even though I don't really like plain mayo very much.

Wooster sauce goes well with anything... like mustard.

Prep time is usually about 10-15 minutes. Probably the longest part of that prep is actually sitting there and rolling the meat into balls.
Cooking is about 2-3 minutes per side of the burger, so maybe around ~15minutes total to cook 2 rounds of burgers?
Then your house smells awesome after. <3 +_+!

Worchestor sauce is pretty much the greatest thing ever when you throw it with your meat, nice blog
